    Seriously explain.

I would never choose to go to Vegas.
Trump is all about excess, illusion, being fake, and bragging about himself. Vegas is similar, it's perfect that Trump has a casino there. Those are his people visiting. And to me there is something gross about the whole spectacle and the people who love to go there to party, spend a ridiculous amount at a club, get belligerently drunk there, and take selfies to brag and pretend they are high rollers too. They aren’t. And then there’s a super gross contingent of sleaze balls who maybe grope a girl if they can at a club, or resort to a hooker instead.

I’ve seen a large range of Vegas visitors, from people spray multiple bottles of $1K-$5k of champagne and never drink a drop, I’ve been in multiple $10k a night rooms for high rollers (not for me to stay in at all though, it was for work), and like everyone else I’ve also seen the average drunk obnoxious tourist on the strip pissing himself and passing out. These people aren’t everyone in Vegas, but some of them are the worst people in America.

    Turn in your mag card.

I have conflict on gambling and what it means. I can easily trade a block of stock or derivative but I throw up if I lose $20 in the casino.

He has a hotel. Vegas denied him a casino permit because he's too shady.

I've been to Vegas for a week, 5 times, all for work. Usually I'm in a food coma, try to have a few cocktails, get tired and frustrated I lost $20 on penny slots. Back to my room by 10-11 and channel surf until 1am.

I don't see most of the shady late night stuff.

Mostly I see a lot of families and couples, business people, enjoying all the great restaurants and shows.

Great people watching, yes!! I don't like big crowds though, so i can only do it for so long, but yes.

Ha, awesome! I didn't know that.

As for other things to do in Veags, this page is amazing. I've only gone to the beauty bar for a show, and don't really care about hip bars, but overall this guide looks top-notch for people like me trying to get off the strip.

Let's stop beating around the bush with this dim sum soup shit. Hookers, what's the 411 on them?

dim sum soup? I like dim sum. I like soup. Never heard of dim sum soup.

I never liked Vegas the spectacle. About 15 years ago my (then) GF, the founder of the LV Weekly, dragged me to a wedding of two LV locals. Big wedding attended by a couple of LV local TV news anchors, an ex-mayor, an ex-NFL QB and a bunch of other LV big swinging dicks, and also a bunch of blue collar locals. I thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with the LV locals. To a person they said they avoid the Vegas spectacle, except when work requires it. I'll likely never go back.

This more or less sums up my experience.
I've had to go to Vegas for work for 5 ~ 6 days a year since 1995.
I would never choose to visit Vegas/Strip on my own, however I think there are enough other cool non strip/tourist things to do that would still make a visit interesting and fun.

Go to the Rio and sit down to play video poker at the bar... not my thing but there you go. I had a buddy who would always try to “save” them (yeah, he has issues).
