Studying the mating habits of a subset of the population

I work for a large financial company in the Salt Lake area, and I sit in an area where the global one off employees sit (team is all over the world, don't really work with any SL peeps) and recently the summer intern gang moved to sit on the other side of the wall, (well like 4 of them did) and I don't know what they do, but all day long they talk about boys, and girls, and what's cute and what's not. And it fucking cracks me up. All four of them (3 guys, 1 girl) are byu students. And they have no clue what they are doing dating wise, sex wise, nothing. They sit there and chat about it all day.
One of them is from hong kong, and the girl constantly advises him on how to respond to an american mormon girls tweets, and is she interested, how long to wait to reply, etc... short story, none of them are intested, haha, and she is always asking how she could find out if the guy she hangs out with is interested, blah blah.
Never thought I would learn so much about the mormon college age on line dating protocol. And I hope I never sounded as dumb as they do, but I probably did.
I feel like a goddamn anthropologist over here.

Read about the group that started up in Olean NY, not from where the mormons started, same time frame, they kind of went the opposite way of the Mormons as far as sex and marriage went, but also were sort of communists with church owned companies etc...
can't remember what the sect was called.

Agreed. People can do whatever they want as long as it is not impacting someone else negatively. If the mormons bothered me, I would have left Utah a long time ago.

Western NY was a happening place in the 1800's. Underground Railroad, Mormons, The Fox Sisters spiritualists. Shakers, led by women and they preached celibacy. Didn't last long. Go figure.

I must have driven past the Hill Comorah 1000 times. The pageant is difinitely worth the price of admission.

that shit was called floating in my neck of the woods, and was all the rage.

it's been a bucket list item of mine for a while now. i've tried to tell my wife that it is not cheating, but for whatever reason she doesn't understand.
