The walk-outs are very distinctive. When I was a little kid (late 60s early 70s) I remember pawley's looking exactly like that. Beach erosion has been so bad that the beach is non-existant there at high tide now and is practically under the houses. Have a cousin who lives year-around front-row, she says that at a tide that happens a couple of times a year (neptune tide?) that the water actually comes from the marsh side and covers the road/driveway to about a foot.

Dunno how well the pic really came out but this little fawn sat in my back yard all afternoon and the only reason I noticed him in the first place was his ears twitching for the bugs. Name: 20210702_174855-01.jpeg

Tick in my daughter's head. Was an easy removal with a tick spoon. The tick was an ornery fucker, I hope it wasnt there too long, definitely not happy about losing a free meal. Is that a wood tick? I can't really tell. She spent the week in Maine working in woods, brush, fields, and various vegetation. It's her reminder to re apply the poison to her clothes and be more very vigilant checking after work including shaking out her clothing. She's at urgent care now, and brought the tick in.
    I see hydraulic turtles.

Started feeling a fluttering in my chest off and on while biking last year. Got progressively worse and I can trigger it with hard climbs. No issue skiing which was good. Finally broke down in January and wore the monitor which confirmed atrial fibrillation. Docs all said I was too healthy to have to deal with it and suggested the ablation.

Cardiologist and anesthesiologist are both mountain bikers and promised to take care of me. Was going to be this fall but they had a cancellation and I jumped on it. Just made it home. 2 weeks for incisions to heal and I’ll be cleared. Hope to meet up with the doc for a ride.

Forte's FTMFW! What is driving those beauties? Mine are powered by a Hafler 500 through a B & K preamp. Set the volume at 0 (normal listening is at -36) and you would swear your at the concert. Unreal sound and power
Never in U.S. history has the public chosen leadership this malevolent. The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

Marantz 2270 driving them and a Thorens TD160 turntable. Just hooked up some Dynaco A25’s to check out as well. Maybe run the Dynaco’s out to our screened porch for summer.

Your Hafler must crush with Forte’s as they are very efficient speakers.

She just treats her work clothes and generally doesn't leave them lying around. I'll remind her but she's generally up on that kind of thing.

Nice set up. Bet those fortes sound even better than my old KG4’s which sound great. I’ve got live at Pompeii on blue ray which is an awesome ride when I drop it on. Nice to be able to get back to listening parties.

I always wanted a big Marantz receiver, but the Hafler was had at likely half the cost and it did exceed my expectations for sure. The Forte's made the system compared to my old Cerwin Vegas. O and I love me some Ummagumma. I have so many memories of frying to Pink Floyd. The good ole days?

This is a fun thread! I enjoy it’s diversity. Currently, I really enjoy the ocean shots because I miss the ocean.

I spent the afternoon down the road at the river. My kids spent hours jumping off the rocks.
