Meh, I thought it was okay. The whole "every straight man is an asshole" line got a bit tiresome, but I realize that was part of the silliness of the show. Eddie was funny, but again just a bit over the top for my taste.

    Saw it in the theater.
It certainly had a few moments of brilliance—Richard Grant, Rosamund Pike, Jacob Elordi, Archie Madekwe, and the lavish production design chief amongst them— yet in the end I was not a huge fan.
That said, full disclosure: I went in with a huge bias against the director.
But, hey, to each their own…

I get that, I didn't think it was AWESOME, there were times where I felt it was tiresome. But it was different enough from the usual, with occasional hilarity, that overall I liked it.

Leaving Prime in 9 Days so get up on it!

    @ZOLA
I totally dismissed and subsequently slept on this little gem when it came to the theaters in November of 2021.
This is a gonzo bonkers road trip odyssey based upon, of all things, an epic tweet.
A stellar cast and stranger-than-fiction real life events combine with a breakneck pace to create a wacky adventure.
Imagine a Carl Hiassen novel on drugs.

I'm seven episodes into Upload and it's pretty good so far. Here's the trailer, but honestly the trailer really doesn't do it justice.

I saw American Animals last night. Pretty funny and a bonkers story.

Also watched Chaos with Wesley Snipes, Jason Statham and Ryan Phillipe. Predictable action/heist flick but a good watch also.

Link isn’t working for me, but I’m guessing this is the Road House trailer? Boo. No need to remake that one.

Underdogs is fantastic. If you like Snoop and what’s he’s done for youth football you’ll thoroughly enjoy this.

They tried with Point Break and failed.

They tried with Red Dawn and failed.

    Now they'll fail with Roadhouse.

    Swayze is a legend.

It goes beyond that. Everything has to be a fucking over-the-top superhero movie now. Top Gun Maverick was the same shit. It's a plague and won't be going away any time soon.

Seriously. Maverick was really good up until the “both get shot down run to the new plane” thing. Maverick dying to save Goose’s kid would have been such a perfect story arc.

Maverick shit the bed 10 minutes in when he survived a hypersonic breakup and it went downhill from there. The movie should have been him rehashing Viper's role from the original, schooling overconfident brash young punks who then go on to fulfill a compelling but not completely absurd mission using the skills he taught them.

I'll say it again, he died in the hypersonic crash, alone, disgraced, and estranged from Rooster. The rest of the movie is a death dream about his soul's quest for closure. Viewed through any other lens it's a farce.

The English on Prime is rad if you like westerns. Sort of a Hostiles meets Reservoir Dogs vibe. Great characters and Emily Blount is always good.
