This looks cool.
It screened at TIFF and Fantastic Fest, both of which usually have a good eye for interesting genre films.
Coming to Prime May 29th, 2020

Lots of really cool, slightly twisted, left-of-center titles lurking in the deep recesses of Prime right now.
Here are two worth watching:
CUL-DE-SAC
Donald Pleasance anchors this strange and demented off-beat thriller.
A FIELD IN ENGLAND
Ben Wheatley's 2013 film is a psychotropic slant on the folk horror subgenre.
This one’s for Dookie - available on Amazon

I was pretty intrigued when my friend posted it. Lots of interesting tidbits for sure
Ralph Bakshi's early 70s ccounter culture cult classic FRITZ THE CAT, is lurking around Prime.
If you have never seen it, you might want to check it out. And if you have seen it, you might want to revisit it.
(DO NOT waste your time with the shitty sequel, though...)
Nicholas Winding Refn's (Drive; Valhalla Rising; Bronson) first English language film is a claustrophobic psychological affair featuring John Turturro.
And on the horror tip there is Ti West's retro-styled, super creepy THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL.
West is an extremely hit-or-miss genre director, but this is easily his masterpiece.
Teeming with some wicked performances and a great sense of unbalanced dread.
RIYL
The Sentinal; Rosemary's Baby
Quite the good number of solid recommendations on this list:

PRO TIP
Do not watch Dead Ringers with your wife or girlfriend...I made that heinous mistake in college!

I vaguely remember seeing Dead Ringers a long while back and it was pretty eerie. I'll have to watch it again.
Ash is Purist White in that list.
SXSW 2020 FILM FESTIVAL on Prime (a selection of features, docs, and shorts):

Someone must have reviewed Hunters, yes?
Watched this the other night:
It's a solid wannabe wiseguys/heist film anchored by a couple of great leading performances by Theo Rossi and Clive Standen, as well as a really diverse and engaging supporting cast.
Yeah. I did that on purpose for emphasis this time. If i had to compare it to a style it would be similar to "Lost in Translation". Lots of scenes without dialogue framed by scenery and ennui. Funny, I searched "movies with ennui" and Lost in Translation came up first.

Don’t know if it’s been mentioned, but last night I watched the first couple episodes of “Counterpart.”
It’s sort of a thriller/spy/sci-fi mix. The lead is the Farmers Insurance “we know a thing or two...” guy.
I thought it was decent...will continue tonight.

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.
I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.
Stick with it - it sucks you in. I was furious when they cancelled it.
The remastered version of PHANTASM just popped up.
This is a hallucinatory nightmare in overdrive; eerie and unnerving.
While it spawned 4 sequels, this is the best of the bunch (though II and III were actually decent; don't bother with IV or V, though).
Mondo late night red-eye matinee fare par excellance!
Those fucking orbs filled my childhood nightmares
Phantasm was superb back in the day.
Will revisit.
The Aeronauts was pretty good. Very cool story.
