Telemark tech binders (TTS): who knows stuff?

I know some of you guys have been on TTS. Specifically I'm thinking about these - http://wasatchski.com/tts.htm

So what's the verdict? Awesome up and down both? How about release - have you released?

I like active bindings and recently sold all my 75mm. Only tele I've got left are my freerides and tx pros. And I have a pair of Kingpins. So thinking I'd use the Kingpin toe and buy the heel conversion from Mark. Just looking for real world experience from any mags (and to buy if you're getting rid of your TTS)!

First, don't buy OMG/Wasatch dyna-style toes. Get some Speed Radical toes or any other reputable pair. Not familiar with Kingpin, but it should be fine.

Second, tele tech is great -- light and can be tailored quite a bit to your preferences.

Third, because of second, it requires some tinkering and a willingness to fiddle to get it dialed in.

I have Kreuzspitze's system. I use it with Speed Rad toes and Superlight toes. Simple, light, and durable. Not cheap though.

If you drop low, the standard Voile springs may be too short. Voile made some for OMG/Wasatch that are long and soft. Kreuzspitze also makes some that are stiffer.

I wouldn't count on releasing. Certainly possible, but can't imagine it being reliable enough.

And b/c we're here, telemarking is stupid. Why bother.

Yep, but they initially made them for Moonlight Mountain Gear: http://www.shopmoonlightmountaingear...ght-spring-kit

Mark L. is a nice guy, but yeah telemarking is stewpit.

They go up and down well, but have spring travel limitations especially for larger boots. I have so 1st gen TTS heels with speed rad toes that I could part with cause my tele boots broke and I gave up.

I wouldn't count on them releasing at all. I tried them for a while and took one hard fall and the toe kind of released but the boot got bound up in the heel and the ski didn't come off, I wrenched my knee pretty good. I've had better luck with NTN for release.

I probably have an extra set of heels, maybe even the mounting block. I'm on work travel through 5/5, but if you can wait 'til then, I'll check when I get back.

Yes, that's right. Not sure what happened to them this year, but I expect they'll be back at it for 2018.

Ok cool. I think I can wait. Thanks for checking. I would need everything except the toe piece.
