Started out in Rocky River, OH and moved to Silverthorne... Still pretty young and handled the pressure of having to come back after some issues in first 2 runs and threw down a great 3rd run to win the Gold...

Well, bunny's secret super power is that he picks up local status at a higher rate than mere mortals. So it's almost even. The medal puts Red in the lead though.

In all seriousness though, it's pretty cool to have a local kid win gold like that. People have been watching his little backyard park thing and taking notice for a few years now. He's built a rope tow out of an old motorcycle, and he and his buddies lap it up. Makes you want to be a kid again.

He competed in the Dirksen Derby this year. Part of the Lick the Cat crew. Seemed like he was pretty relaxed.

E-ville was so easy to ski a ton of days. I shared an apartment across the road from the Depot with Ed Fred '91-92. 90 day season. And so fun to be able to walk to Holiday Valley where I taught, skied free and had a locker. And walk back from town after drinking cheap.

Lived on the other side of town before that but across from the The Depot was bad/awesome.

I'd probably be dead if I actually lived in E-ville during the years I skied bumps there. 3 day weekends every week were crazy enough. That said, that town, and the skiing there rocks.

I'm not an expert but I assume a "pursuit" is any event where the starts are staggered as opposed to a mass start.

edit: looks like you're correct. Found this "At its meeting in Ljubljana on 6th June, the FIS Council confirmed 'skiathlon' to be the new official name of the Cross-Country race format pursuit in which both the classical and free technique are used with equipment change at mid-distance. This was done in order to distinguish the competition from the handicap races which are a type of a pursuit as well."

Watching women’s moguls and they are all on Hart skis with pivots and full tilt boots. One lady on Rossi didn’t advance out of the first round I don’t think. Is it sponsor money or is Hart the last legit mogul ski maker?

On a related note, how is it possible that in 2018 an online streaming service is not available somewhere? There's a special place in hell for the cable companies who allow this sort of thing to happen.
