Sliding Through Cancer
I've been battling the ol' white dragon for the better part of a year. It felt so insanely good to get back in the powder! Regardless of the chemotherapy and ostomy, I pulled it off!
Well, just barely. Turns out I get super dehydrated due to those two things and got gnarly altitude sickness.
But that one day was EPIC!

Haha, wasn't trying to make people tear up! Maybe cringe a little. I kept thinking about making a sappy video about cancer, but I just couldn't do it. I'd rather try to make people smile and know that it's not all horrible.
The battle is going as good as possible. I'm a stage 2. I did chemo and radiation last summer to shrink the little fucker and it worked! They did surgery in October and got the tumor out clean with no signs of spreading and the tumor itself was diminished to nearly nothing. Now I'm doing 4 months of chemo pills and dealing with an osotmy. After Chemo ends in March i'll get my butt reconnected!
Funny story. the first day of chemo and radiation there was a picture at the end of a long hallway of The Grand Teton. I walked by it everyday for 6 weeks while taking my beat down. So I set my focus on climbing that thing! This summer I'm going to do with with a bunch of friends from my TGR days including Todd Jones. I'll keep everyone posted on how that's coming along.
Thanks for the support everyone! Keep getting after it and enjoy every damn day that you don't feel like shit!
here's my journal, but i've been bad at updating it lately. https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/t...dowell/journalwww.DeathCookieEntertainment.com

Fabulous edit, and great to hear a positive update on the prognosis!
