Yes you did fucking jinx my man last time too. Bastard! It is pretty damn amazing that the oldsters are all doing well. I wonder if the advances in nutrition/conditioning/kinesiology coupled with the obvious greater mental toughness of the older players is assisting in this latest renaissance?

Holy fuck, the entire bar was glued to that match.

13 fucking years since Venus has been in the AO finals.

7 years since she's been in a major final.

Come on Serena (and I'm not a fan personally), and come on Fed-Nadal!

This has been a remarkable tournament. Paul Harvey should re-animate his corpse to be a spokesperson for this geriatric renaissance.

Damn! That looked like it was one hell of a match. So stoked to see him back in a major final; wish I could have stayed up late enough to see it.

Now, hopefully Rafa can hold up his end

and while I too am phyched for a fed-nadal final, I sure do wish nike would quit making Nadal thier bitch for shitty clothes ideas. Jimmy connors shorts > fusha capri pants though.

This Nadal-Dimitrov match is quite impressive. They have been playing for 4:20 and they are both still bringing it.

    Wow!!!

Finally got to watch it and successfully kept myself on media blackout.

I honestly didn't know who I wanted to win. Fed's backhand and Rafa's forehand are two of the sweetest things to see in tennis.

Really tough on one hand for Rafa to lose 4 straight games after being up a break early in the 5th. I never want these matches to end and could be happy seeing it go 20-18 in the 5th like that Fed-Roddick Wimbledon final back around 2010.

So stoked it went 5 and saw some incredible points. What a treat to see these two play again in a major final one more time. Here's hoping we see more in 2017.

What a men's final. 5th set was classic. Will be a sad day when Nadal and Federer hang it up. Hard to get rivalries like this anymore. Not often I watch something for 4 hours and wish it didn't end. Nicely done Rodger.

PS. Does Fed have the best backhand ever?

Agassi/Sampras will always be my favorite rivalry (especially the greatest match of all time - 2001 US Open QF where neither broke the other and it went 4 sets all in tiebreaks) but Rafa - Fed is now all time. These two are simply so amazing and they truly appreciate each other - something that can't be said for Sampras and Agassi.

Here's to many more like this before it al runs out.

Like you, Bmills, I was able to avoid the result all day and just finished watching. What a fucking match - amazing tennis! It was just fantastic to watch those two giants play beautiful, attacking tennis for 5 sets. So, so much better than a defensive Djoko/Murray match. Hope they both can keep it going all year.

I just watched highlights again, and you're right Leo: that was beautiful, attacking, points.

Overhead view for the win by the way. Some of those line painters were un-human.

    That's pretty funny.

What do they do, sell knockoff Wilsons?
