Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Rossi 4s the first ski I bought with my own money and I dropped Corbets and tore up the iconic runs of Telluride with them in the late eighties when I was still just a kid. Mounted tele later and took them on my first hut trip with Glen Vitucci guiding my hack friend and I. Best three days of my young life. Too many great memories of those bad boys and I still love the teal. Still have them and always will.

    Solly 914's x several.

I hate all boots but Intuition liners have made my life better.

    Boot: Lange RX130
Binding: Salomon STH; plastic or metal - doesn't matter
Ski: OG Bibby Pro in a 190. A close second is a 196 4FRNT Renegade in the OG HALS construction.

Skis - Dynastar XXL (although pocket rockets were a life changer, and Bibby's deserve a mention)
    Bindings - Salomon STH 16
Boots - Not sure... I still haven't found any that are pure sex on my feet.

4S Rossi, teal green, they changed my life. My first "real ski" when I became a lift op. Switched from Rossi FP slalom, red and blue stipe on a grey ski, they were great also.

Loved my Rossi 4S and I really like my swiss cheese Voile Vectors but I think the ski that really changed my abilities was my pair of 1998-99 Rossignol Bandit X. They were my first sub 205cm long skis and were "parabolic".

Skis are a tie between Volkl's explosive r and K2 VO slalom. any binding that keeps me in and release when I need. Boots are first gen Tecnica TNT, they came in yellowish lime or charcoal .

Before I even took up telemark, the K2 TNC was the first ski where I arced a high speed turn and, well, in Seinfeld terms, it moved. But I can't pick something I only skied alpine.

    Volkl Gotama (square tail)
Hammerheads (first tele binding where I felt real power)
Scarpa T2 (very first plastic boot, and they were everything they were cracked up to be, total game changer)

I have to say my current setup is the best but a few standouts were K2 Merlin 5 (first shaped ski) SethPistol (great all rounder) and first generation Pontoons. Weird that they are all k2's as I grew up skiing Dynastars
