Don't go to Colorado. It is overrated. Just go to Jackson and call it a day.

Where do I go in Feb?

Vegas. Newport Beach (balboa bay club). Beverly Hills>Hollywood. Laguna Beach is nice too.

    For compromise. Phoenix>Sedona>flagstaff.

I'll add one more: Monterey>Carmel>Carmel Valley

If she's still of childbearing age avoid Zika zones.

Is Zika still a thing? Funny how everyone forgets about stuff in the news when some other terror starts. It was all Zika now it's all POLAR VORTEX!

I swear our tradgedies have a life cycle of 2 weeks.

Does anyone remember that Magic Johnson has the HIV? I mean, what the fuck?!?

Pretty sure you're our resident polar vortex alarmist. I probably hear more about it from you than anywhere else

I feel the same way about meteorologists. It's like they just started using the phrase the last couple years. I get it, it's fun to say and it scares the crap out of people which drives ratings.

Who doesn't like whipping the people up into a froth?

But really I can't take the crown, Iceman started the VORTEX thread.

Whatever you choose make sure it's where she wants to go or she might be Harry's next baby mama.

She'll probably turn 40 for awhile but I hear you. I dont mind dropping more coin on lodging if I dont spend an arm and a leg on travel.

Some good suggestions I hadn't thought of in here, including actually skiing.

Is Paris really insanely cheap in Feb? Its got me thinking.

Telluride: hit up deeppo for a deal at the camel garden. Nice quiet, large rooms, right at the Gondi base, killer hot tub view.

B-day dinner @ La Marmotte. Another dinner @ Cosmo. Sheridan for snazzy steaks/chops if that's your thing. Hongas for sushi & Asian food. 221 Oak is reportedly excellent, but I haven't been there.

Tons of spas, etc. Great bars and dispensaries all over. Wipeout beautiful, lots of easy lower intermediate skiing (See Forever). If transpo is available, hit the Weisbaden in Ouray for a soak in a private pool.

Don't go to crazy on the 40th, because you'll have to top yourself on the 50th. Save some powder.

Paris itself pretty much blows year round. If you're going to bust a nut on travel to Europe, I'd hit Portugal (Lisbon and Sintra).

Fly to Venice, Italy, spend a few days there, and then go to Dolomites (we went to Cortina), come back to Venice and fly home. Wife still raves about that trip.

    Hot

Mexico - obvious choice with the number of timeshares I own
    Where the fuck else?
    - I'm in Hawaii every year to see fam so not on list and also long flight
    - Palm Desert? Sounds boring
    - Fuck Florida unless maybe the Keys? (and I'll have just flown back from Orlando so my soul will need some time to repair)

    Cold

She skis but doesn't really care about gnarly terrain, etc. Frankly, I need something idyllic. Quaint town, snowshoeing, good food? Someone have a recommendation for some quaint lodge somewhere? East Coast fine. VT? CO? Standing Rock Reservation?
Yurp flights are cheap that time of year.

    Culture, wine, cheese, skiing.

I liked the Quebec City idea. Tour around there for a few days then head to Baie St. Paul. If the weather is nice Le Massif is amazing and has some incredible views.

Also, this place is well liked.
