I'm assuming nobody has ridden these but damn do they look sick. Thoughts?

Renegades with a turned up tail? Same dimensions, same reflect tech, possibly a little softer to accommodate the style of skiing? Not exactly sure that's pushing the envelope...
"...if you're not doing a double flip cork something, skiing spines in Haines, or doing double flip cork somethings off spines in Haines, you're pretty much just gaping."
Holy shit, a twin tip that's... fat? The wacky things ski designers come up with these days...Originally Posted by 4FRNT

I'm not claiming their pushing the envelope, but a ski that's basically a twin tip renegade with carbon stringers (even though this year's Rens have them too) sounds like this forum's wet dream.
Only 25 pairs made? That's not very many.... I don't know, they look cool, but the name is kinda lispy
Thayne is making them himself so they're only doing 25 pair. They're also only doing a small production to see how people like it and how it sells.
I personally like the ski a lot. Many people like the Devastator, but for those deep days you're going to need something fatter.
Name is lispy for sure
That ski looks damn nice. I'd be all over that in a longer version.
They already had 8 skis in the 105 to 125 waist range, what's one more?
Mine included. My entire quiver of six fits in that 105 to 125 range. But I only ski 4 of the six, and could definitely cut it down to 2 if needed (God forbid).
It's one thing for a consumer to have some over lap, but you'd think 4frnt would try to avoid that.
Not complaining. I think its rad what they're doing.
4FRNT does funky things. They focus on skiers and each ski rather than the product line. That is how you end up with the same company making the KYE 120, Renegade, YLE, and INTHANE.
Accidentally started a new thread on this...I believe I may be one of the 1st to have these on the forum so I figured I'd post some pictures and initial thoughts.
Looks: The top sheet is spectacular. The texture almost resembles the top of a skateboard. I'm very happy with how the ski looks. The fully rockered profile is awesome...zero camber throughout with consistent rise in tip and tail.
Flex: The ski is MUCH stiffer than my previous Bent Chetlers. I prefer a stiffer ski and these skis are skiff with a consistent flex pattern throughout.
I'll be throwing a pair of Jesters on these and I cannot wait to test these on the mountain. I'll update everyone after I take these for a spin.
Anybody fuck around on these yet? Still contemplating picking up a pair for the end of the season...
My eye sees too much tip rock/early rise.
Lack of effective edge is a real problem. Most companies are coming up with unique ways to deal with this.
Asymmetrical cuts, left and right skis, etc...
more edge contact, more better.

Old tech is old, try keeping up with what's hot, guy.
That ski is a dog

I'm interested in real world feedback on these as well. Who has put in some days on these? Anyone with experience on the old Rens and the InThaynes for comparisons sake?
It looks like the layup on these is the pre-2017 heavier core plus VibeVeil. If these ski like a Ren but with better damping in shitty 3D snow, and have the ability to backup in tight places with the raised tail (my old Rens would auger in anytime I tried to slide back in 3D snow), then color me interested.
So...anyone actually skied these? Looks like they're sold out on the 4FRNT website so someone must have a pair.
I'm with Toddball. Where are the real world reviews of this ski? I recognize they only made 25 pairs but still, someone on TGR must have some days on them now?

Should have got these and the Devastator this year.
Sick year for graphics for both, and should make a killer quiver or two.
Although my quiver of EHPs and Renegades, both in various lengths is serving me well.
P.S. I'm just waiting for Thayne to come out with a longboard slide wheel called InThayne Thayne Thane.
Any real world reviews out there? The $499 price tag across the board is hard to pass up.
I skied my buddy's pair for a handful of runs and I really liked them. Felt like a looser Ren, and I didn't notice any drawbacks to the turned up tail, although I didn't ski them on mank or crud. Very solid feeling and fun ski. Light enough to set up as a side country rig too.
