This rascal was helping itself to the late summer crop of raspberries. Recent arrival, so far has managed to avoid the neighbourhood cats. Our own has been in a couple staring/yelling contests with it, but so far the tree rat has kept its skin intact.

This thing swooped me last night so close, I felt the wind from the wingbeats. It then sat and stared at me for at least 5 minutes while I talked to it. Likely there's a nest nearby? I've never had one just hang out 20 feet in front of me before.
