(along with Mr baby bear/ shameless plug)
maybe he'll go to Line since FT and Line hold hands?

Given the recent acquisition of Full Tilt, Line, K2, Volkl, Marker, Dabello and a bunch of other shit by Newell I'm not sure I'd be aiming for a sponsorship by any of them as they are likely to be sold off or closed down if buyers aren't found. Lots of discussion about it here: http://forum.pugski.com/threads/k2-v...for-them.2715/

Maybe Seth didn't want to be part of the new K2?

Newell is ruthless. I'd imagine there will be lots of upper level exects looking for work, let alone athletes that people under 20 have never heard of.
My best man was VP at Rubbermaid. Newell chopped him at the knees.

been hearing the chatter around NWL divesting some of those biz's but I'm sure he would take another yrs contract from them if they were offering.
could you picture him being like "no I won't take your skis and travel budget this year bc you might be sold next year"

doubt he'll have trouble getting in with another company but there might be downtime or that might have been his subtle way of putting the word out that he's free agent for some other co's to contact him

There is only one genuine reason to write what he wrote on twitter. And that is to announce his free agency. He's not actually looking for suggestions. Being around the sport as long as he has and with all of the people he has met over the years - there is no real chance that that tweet was genuinely about new skis.

My gut told me that this was his own way of announcing that he has parted ways with K2. Nothing more. Nothing less.

The comment about Glen Plake was spot on especially given the direction Seth's skiing has gone. Both iconic figures in the sport for sure.

Head, Volkl, Elan, or even Nordica would be good for both him and the company.
Most pro skiers don't have to pay bills. They are already wealthy.

meh, didn't realize SM was still skiing. Could care less what he skis. Wouldn't buy any product shilled by some "pro" because they are all that. You know, "demo before you buy." Right? Isn't it time for another indie ski brand? Seth needs to move his cars out of the garage and move in a ski press. Wonder what he will name his new ski company?

The guy has that understated class so many bozos don't get.
Hmmm, on 2nd thought; I needz to get me some Ktooz. Could add some understated class to my skinizzle, yo! But I'll wait and see what Seth does before I pull the trigger. Don't want to be seen as out of touch with the times.

He still rips...harder than most pros out there these days 20 years younger than him.

Hmmmmmm....a custom Billygoat with hot pink topsheet, green sidewalls, and double 6" carbon layup? I may know a guy that can make that happen.

On3p, Praxis, Moment, or esp RMU should be direct messaging him.
I think that'll happen, then he'll sign with someone who's open to his terms... I wondered if the line catcher stuff was one of his appearances for K2.
