    Worst Song Ever???

“We Built This City,” the Worst Song of All Time

    http://www.gq.com/story/oral-history...ng-of-all-time

C'mon GQ, there's gotta be 4 albums of Nickelback songs to chose from...that Iggy Azalea...Bon Jovi...thousands I can't even think of right now. It's not a great song, but FAR from some of the junk out there.

So: What's your worst song? (For the record, I cringe everytime I hear the intro to "Livin' on a Prayer" CANNOT STAND IT!!!!)

It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

I can't find the video, hopefully somebody else can pull it up but the Slovakian anti-war rap song that popped up here awhile back has Starship beat by a mile.

    edit: I found it...he's Hungarian...

"We Built This City" has the whole sellout thing going for it -- from Jefferson Airplane counterculture 1960s to corporate yuppie 1980s for Grace Slick.

"Friday" is a manufactured ego project, but does that make it any worse than any of the assembled boy bands?

My vote goes to Nickelback and their "Rock Star" song. First time I heard it, I thought it was a parody of corporate cock rock. Then I realized they were serious. I have to pick Nickelback over Starship because Nickelback makes me want to immediately turn off the radio, but Starship doesn't.

A slow ballad by Don Henley, your pick.
"fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ
"She was tossing her bean salad with the vigor of a Drunken Pop princess so I walked out of the corner and said.... "need a hand?"" - Odin
"everybody's got their hooks into you, fuck em....forge on motherfuckers, drag all those bitches across the goal line with you." - (not so) ill-advised strategy

Excellent. I'm gonna pull that one at the trailhead for the next long skin in to the goods. A guy I know used to start singing Garden Party at the trailhead. Bastard.

If we're talking commercially released stuff by well known names, I'd have to say every single song on the collaboration album featuring metallica and Lou Reed. I can't remember what it's called, but I remember it hurting my ears.

    Otherwise:

We used to play "Built This City" as a drinking game back in college. Everyone gets a six-pack; play that fucking song on repeat. Nobody can leave the room until they drink all six beers... Now GO!
