Holy hell that was good. Going in completely blind on Sturgill I was really impressed. Scored a pit ticket for $19 all in stubhub about an hour before but due to stubhub fuckery (more so original seller being a space cadet) i 'only' ended up on front rail of the seated section behind the pit GA which was still great.

Band was incredibly tight. Sturgill sure loves his drummer (who i thought had a great pocket, but also beat the shit out of those things). Other guitarist was top notch too (although sometimes he kind of wanked off playing a million notes lol).

Hell of a band, and they jammed. Prob my fav jam of the night was the outro to 'it a'int all flowers'

I'm not much of take photos at concert guy so here's the one shot I got

2.5 hrs straight through is impressive. Sound was kinda garbage in 126, specifically vocals. Sounded like Laur was having amp troubles and I just think it was off on the mix a bit. Overall, impressive

Followed NBABUCKS lead and scored cheap pit tickets on our way down - we had nosebleeds that we kept as a backup in case StubHub fell through - but we had a phenomenal time. Danced the whole set, my legs hurt.

    One day you’ll wake up
    This life will be over

    We're dyin' to live
    Living to die
    No matter what you believe
    And all of us cry
For the ones we must leave

So go and live a little
    Bone turns brittle
And skin withers before your eyes
Make sure you give a little
Before you go to the great unknown in the sky

If you haven't watched Sound and Fury in the dark with a kick ass sound system you are SERIOUSLY missing out. I like playing this track (Ronin) in my car once in a while to really get me amped for road warrioring my way down the highway...

and then the album leads right into this track next I believe

Whole thing is SUCH a trip. Very, very "Heavy Metal" in spirit.

bummed Spokane was canceled -- it would have been a massive stretch to get there, but I guess that explains why it wasn't sold out.
