Outlook 2013 what to do with this program?

I upgraded to Outlook 2013 from Outlook 2003 awhile back. It worked fine until yesterday at which point my business email acct stopped working, but my other email accts still do?

I deleted the business acct and then reloaded the information. Outlook says it is working, but it isn't. If I click repair on the acct it says it is fucked.

I tried a repair to Office 2013. Not sure anything happened as my business email will not work???

My old version of Outlook 2003 works with the same settings as I have in the 2013 version and so does my phone. WTF is up with Outlook 2013?

Contacted my ISP and they were fucking useless, so I hope someone here can help. Thanks

The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. Are you using Windows 10? There was an update yesterday that caused all sorts of weird shit; took me an hour to get all my settings corrected. Maybe roll back one update and see if it works?

My ISP said they rolled something out yesterday and to delete the acct in Outlook and recreate it. So I did that and on install it states it is working, but it isn't.
If I click repair it states it can not find a secure or non-secure connection and it doesn't work. Really odd.
    O and Windows 7 professional

is your email server through your ISP then? do they have a web client so you don't have to rely on outlook? or use outlooks web client? I'm trying to understand the use case for a desktop client if you're not hosting your own exchange as well.

Are you using exchange for your work email? If so, what version of exchange? We are running exchange 2007 at work and the latest versions of 2013 don't work. We need to use an older version. We are running office 365.

First in addition to the questions shroom has asked, what is the size of your email storage? Is it Pop3, Imap, or going to an Exchange email account for your work? You mentioned your ISP is useless, but are they the same company that hosts your work email?

It has been configured as an imap and POP3 acct not exchange. My ISP hosts the website and I guess consequently the email associated with that web site.
As I said, it works on my Note 4 and Outlook 2003, but when I put the account settings into Outlook 2013, it states it works and the test email goes out from set up. However, when I go into the account, nothing is received and nothing sends. It is beyond me.

I was just playing with the settings some more and now when I run Repair it says it is fine. I go into the acct, click send receive and in the lower corner of Outlook I see the mail coming in but it does not populate to the In Box. WTF????

Try expanding all of your folders to see if that mailbox is now a subfolder under another. - that's what happened to me with multiple accounts registered to outlook.

And oddly, I can now send an email from the account, but the email does not showas sent in my send folder. It isn't there. So it appears it is functioning now, but emails is not being posted to the IN box or Sent folders??????

If you haven't already, do a little googling on outlook 2013 and imap. We use imap for voicemail to email and outlook 2013 choked. Can't remember the reason off hand. There is a way to "trick" outlook into creating the account and pull email, but I don't think it's a great solution if memory serves.

Can you use a different client?

SS, I a using a POP3 version, as I previously had issues with imap. By client, do you mean software? I have used Outlook in one version or another forever, so I don't want to stop, but ya, I am sure there are other email programs out there. Any good suggestions, as I may have to go that way if I can't fix Outlook 2013.
And ya, I have googled the shit out of this issue and tried every suggestion. with no email posting to my inbox. What a PITA.

Its been a while, but I used Thunderbird as an email client for a while. We use exchange at work, so I've been using outlook also.

What OS are you running on your computer? How many email accounts?

You could have a corrupt Outlook profile or PST file. Create a new Outlook profile by going to the control panel and opening mail, click show profiles, add and set everything back up. If you're using POP there's not much that can go wrong.

Could be something as simple as an alternative port number. Many ISP's are blocking the traditional ports and requiring either secure setup with authentication or the modification of the port numbers.

If Outlook 2003 is working, should be able to glean the settings and match them up under Outlook 2013. If not then Thunderbird is definitely worth a look.

Edit: see you created a new profile and it is working again. If your .pst file on your PC is getting to be quite large in size, this could be a problem. Pop3 and .pst files that are really pretty large can corrupt easily.

Oddly, my Bitdefender AV program does not like my ISP's certificate and every time I turn on Outlook I now have to accept the fucked up cert.

I tried Thunderbird and had issues so deleted it. Tried Mailbird instead which worked seamlessly.

Another issue is Outlook 2013 tells me it isn't my default email service every time I open it and I went to control panel/default programs and selected Outlook 2013 as the default program but I continue to get the message.

    Really annoying.
