Sad for Harry who doesn't even know his own kid

But yeah - your dick got wet 20 years ago and again last week - I guess that's all you give a fuck about.
Agree that it's sad but Harry didn't know fuck all about his kid until recently. So maybe hold judgement...lord knows I've had close calls, and I'm sure most have as well.

That said I'm not sure how I'd react...I think I'd want to meet my kid, but is that fair to the kid? Just blow up all he's ever known?

Tough situation...feel for all involved...but hey, sounds like the kid turned out okay.
Damn shame, throwing away a perfectly good white boy like that

Well Harry did end the post with "winning!" so i think we're past the "hold judgement" stage

I see some stuff about the hometown reunions but am not invited as i didn't graduate with them, the boarding school was a class of 39. maybe 7 of us showed for the 10 year and I haven't been back. May go to the next big one, just cause I've aged pretty well and to show off. but probably not.
That sucks. My wife helped organize hers, and they made sure to reach out to everyone that was kicked out, or moved. Most of those people showed, and they were a blast. Her school was also a small private Catholic school. A lot of them were kicked out.

One of the guys that moved away their sophomore year is dating Billy Joel and Christie Brinkley's daughter Alexa Ray. She didn't come with him, but he was a blast to hang out with.

You should go. It might be more fun than you think.

whoa, weird thread. And weird that Harry acts like he just learned this fact when he said he basically learned it 15 years ago. But of course, this is the interwebz so it could all be made up.

I'm always surprised to find out how many in here are older than me, adrenelated notwithstanding.

I have never been to a HS reunion, my 30th was last year. My graduating class was almost 800, so there could be a hudge turnout and still possibly nobody I knew even then, let alone remember now. Plus, I have lived across the country for my entire adult life, with very little in common with the place I grew up in (NYC), so it just doesn't seem all that appealing. If it was convenient I would go, I suppose, but I'm only vaguely in touch with a handful of people, so it's not all that important to me.

...and wear some old pants you wouldn't mind turned into shorts in case you end up at the Holland Tunnel Hotel.

Well now you have a blueprint of what to do.

    Or not do.

All depends how you want your 40th reunion to go I guess.

Wow, there are a bunch of judgmental assholes on TGR. WHO KNEW ??

Look, I have no desire to upset the apple cart. It would be incredibly selfish of me to contact this kid. It sounds like he is doing fine.

I have known this girl since kindergarten, although we did not date until senior year. I was dead set on joining the military, and she was on her way to the Ivy League. So we both knew our dating was going nowhere. She ended up with an MBA from Yale, she is no dummy.

Who knows if I will ever meet their kid (note: I said THEIR kid, not mine). They have a good life, huge house on a cliff looking out over the Pacific Ocean.Kid was smart enough to get into Perdue. I have zero desire to fuck up their lives. I am happy with leaving things the way they are.

Fuck anyone who wants to judge either her or me.

Ha! Fits in perfectly well with the predominate age cluster of this group.

FWIW Harry, I get your view in this regard, and genetic health considerations aside, I support the choice you and your HS flame's have taken. A lot of ill in the world could be removed if the intense need to connect with our specific maternal/paternal heritage was lessened. Sounds like the young man was given a supportive and, hopefully, a loving home. Wish more 'illegitimates' had been/could be given that gift.

As to the thread, went to #10, tried to go to #25 but life got in the way, I've enjoyed reconnecting either through online social platform or reunion even though my actual grad class I only knew for a couple of years. And it's time to reconnect again with some of those old friends/acquaintances who demand nothing but an occasional hello and an update on the struggles and triumphs of each other's lives.

It takes a tough man to make a tender chicken.

As I posted before; I don't know Harry, his baby mama, her husband, or his son. I'm just curious as to how this situation makes a man feel. I'll sit back and listen. While making chicken jokes of course.

People like Bobby have interesting perspective. I know I've tried to put myself in the shoes here to imagine how I'd react.

My buddy and his wife moved to West Lafayette three years ago so he could teach at Purdue. He said West Lafayette is the seventh circle of hell.
