Please read the thread title. I have very good friends in every group mentioned. You are not getting my drift. Time and place and I speak of a different time than today and a much different place than you were in.

Yeah, it was okay to use all types of slurs when I was a kid. I've cut them out because I have friends and people I respect in every slurred group. I don't even use bitch anymore because I feel it offensive to women. I can't believe how touchy-feely I am... sheesh.

We are all just in denial

my Grandma was from Eastern Kentucky and every bone in her body was bigoted.

Kentucky. I get it. I think everyone has some unfounded generalizations. I personally think that the odds are good that every old silver haired, hatless skier wearing a Spyder jacket is an asshole. Just because the first two I ran across were being assholes. I'm sure that old goat is a nice guy though. Just in case he wears Spyder and is offended.

No snow, too much free time maybe. What do you want the point to be? How about trigger points and trigger warnings. Glad you came by.

    That's OK.
I found redemption on the north side when I up climbed 100' to attend the the crying 7 y o next to the 20' deep hole
I found redemption as the 2nd last car after the lift closed in the SF lot when the guy in the Beemer was surprised that I went over and asked if he needed a jump start after being turned down by other skiers.
I found redemption when I was broke but with a skill set that was able to send a grand to thin cover for his knee
I found redemption when I did a Uey get back to help when I saw the 93 y o guy stumble. DDay vet Omaha Beach Second wave. We talked for 20 min. Were friends now.
And on and on and on. It is also how I was bred.

I just got home from cleaning the yard of a 90 y o invalid lady. Frankly, I'm up to my ass in redemption and need a rest.

It's like I said to a mag at the meetup. "If I ever rip you on TGR, you probably deserved some of it." He said he would do the same for me. That made me feel good.

Some geezers collect stamps. Some build model boats. Some like to hang with folks out of their comfort zone and be open.
