Personally,i see people climbing routes on slopes that have no alternative(mostly)
Surprise!-You never know whats down there...just be ready and in solid position> I skied off the back of the Bird on a sik powder day ,above the usual closure ropeline> musta been a 15 inch day at least,totally dumping> we hucked off to mineral> and landed on SOLID ICE> lucky I no eat it nor any our group,stomp landing above extreme cliff exposure>and found the pow waitin about 8 turns below.
