That 5 series might be worth 3-4k.

Any love for the Honda del Sol?
Ever since my commute got nuts, I have been looking for a low mileage, unmolested 1993 del Sol with the d15 1.5L SOHC motor. They get 40 mpg.
Solid runner without breaking the bank.
My current del Sol (second one) has 276,000 miles and is officially retired. Cost me 2 grand and lasted 3 year with nothing needed but regular oil changes.
I found this last week; 129,000 miles, bare bone stock, even down to the radio/cassette deck (which has to go immediately). Super clean, drives like new. At 500 miles/week, I figure I can get another five years of worry free commuting.

Does it have a lift on it?

^^ Miatas don't get 40 mpg. Mind you when I bought my first one, gas was well over 4$/gallon. I was hemorrhaging $ at every fill up. I fell to like them.
This one got close to 42 one the first bill.
Yeah I did the opposite. I watched gas prices go down and bought this in January for $5200 with 148k on it.
I've done a little work. You might have seen it in another thread. I post the same shit over and over.
sigless.
^Nice buy, hard to lose at that price.
A 13yo 996 Carrera 2 with x50 twin turbos on either side. Too many to list but an Aston Martin DB series has a valve that opens at 4k or so rpms. Best sound I hear all day. That silver metallic and the basalt? black on a 997T were the most impressive paint colors I saw. A brand new, baby blue twin turbo 6cyl M3 back to a clean, original M5 or 3,
Discussion kept returning to the topic of police counter intelligence.

Jaguar f type v8 or new R or RS all shit over Aston Martin exhaust notes. And I LOVE am.. But I'd take the jag over v8 vantage any day.. Dbs.. Still sounds better than vantage but the jag still wins there too. Can't go wrong any which way I suppose
Let me get this straight...
You would take a F Type over a Vantage?
I find the F Type V8 exhaust to be obnoxious. Interior is cheap and plastic. Not nearly as pretty.
The DBS turned into the Vanquish, which is a better car on all fronts, including exhaust. The Vanquish Volante might be the best looking modern car on the road...
Let me give you one big reason to buy a Vantage over a F Type.

Look. My first car love was a 99 red with silver striped viper. My second love was the DBS.
Now my third and most realistic love is the f type R. Yes it is SUBSTANTIALLY less money. It sounds better than a vantage, the upholstery is not as fancy, it looks arguably better than the vantage.
Don't get me wrong, I love the vantage..but the f type wins. There's less maintenance, cheaper to do so, and way more reliable, statistically.
But that's the beauty of opinions and cars.. We all have our own and favorites!
This one is actually a V12S, and quite a bit different.
Yep Crossfire...
The point of that picture shows a manual gear box, and three pedals. They even do a manual V12 now. But that's Turbo S money. (Which I would take over a turbo S all day)
The V8 F Type, which is a shit box (I've driven a few, sold 2), only comes with a ZF single clutch auto. It's the same gearbox found in all BMWs. (non M)
So that leaves the V6 F Type with 380hp and a manual. Well at that point...

Both can be had at yuge discounts. 10k off the F Type. I've seen a V12S Demo get a 100k discount. Aston is about to change everything, and now is the time to buy a true purist sports car at a good price. Why anyone would buy a 991 C2S over a Vantage GT is beyond me. Furthermore, why anyone would buy a F Type over a 991 C2S is beyond me.
Here is a Vantage GT for 30k off, which makes it cheaper than a V8 F Type. Lot of car, with a lot of eyeball, for 90k. I bet I could cut another 5k out.

89k? Holy fuck balls!
But yeah, I don't drive stick. Make all the jokes you want.
If I'm going to buy a very expensive car..let's call that for me >60k.. I want the total package
In terms of new ness for price, reliability, comfort, maintenance, and performance.. F type checks all my boxes. The equivalent f type v8 is cheaper by 20k than that am, sounds better, better torque and bhp. Handling, dunno.
Don't forget, everyone has their own expectations and opinions! I respect yours. The new f type R awd..well yes please!
If I was single again, I would pick up an extra shift a month and lease one probably. No harm done there.
Similar porsche boxster s checks all my boxes
F Type R AWD, is a beast. Shouty as fuck, and no way to shut it up.
They can get to be 140k with Ceramics.
140k...
25k more gets you a brand new V12S, 60k off MSRP... 140k and I am looking for a manual F430 Ferrari.

enough lip flapping, need sound + video
Totally Boxster over Cayman in every flavor. S, GTS, or Spyder/GT4.
These cars are about handling, and while quick, are not holy shit fast like a Turbo S or 918. I think having the top down, is a yudge part of these cars.
