Right now I'm taking a 184 Asym BG116 out anytime there's more than 6" of fresh in the PNW, mainly lapping Northway or 6 at Crystal. While I love how nimble it feels, it is admittedly a bit short for my height/weight.

If I was able to swap that with a 191 asym C&D, how jarring would the reduced performance in anything but perfect snow be?

The bumps down by the chair base and the long choppy runs before then will be rather exciting on the C&D once it’s tracked out. I think you’re currently on the best ticket for Crystal.

The Nomad is an extremely accessible ski and is very easy to noodle around in the trees at low speeds.
Very helpful. I’m looking for a relatively easy ski and easy to noddle around in lower angle stuff. I’ve got plenty of chargers across all underfoot widths and would travel with two skis. Sounds like nomad may be the ticket.

Yeah, I figured this would be the answer but was hoping for an excuse to upgrade. I'll just keep an eye out for good deals on longer BGs

I’m so glad I didn’t know about this option when I ordered my Jeffrey 118’s. I would have done it and my wife would’ve hated it and I never would’ve heard the end of it.

Hey all. For those of you riding very little park and lots of mountain on your ON3Ps, do you keep the factory tune when it's time to get new edges or did you go to a more traditional angle?

Factory tune with my own detune of tips and tails past the contact points when the skis are base to base.

Not sure what you mean by a "more traditional angle" but the 1/1 tune that ON3P uses is pretty common and standard.
I did change my Wren 113s to 2edge/1base to get a bit more edge grip but honestly it didn't make much difference. My Billy Goats and Woodsmans are all at the factory 1/1,
I detune a touch more than factory - round the edges fore and aft of the widest points of the ski, then taper a detune into the first several inches of the edge (roughly corresponds to the base contact points) with a very light detune over the entire length of the edge.

Maybe It's the detune I was confused about. My moments were always sharp as hell compared to my ON3Ps from the factory. OK. 1/1 it is.
