Just randomly came across a pair of 191 '13 Goats mounted with Griffons for very cheap at a shop in Seattle. Fairly beat up and looks like they're missing some screws (stripped?) but thinking someone with a shop at home and some skills (ie not me) might be able to bring these things back to life. Pm me for more info

Anybody been on the Wren102ti and care to comment?

In particular, I'm dying to see some photos of their rocker profile

I’ve decided to part with my 191 Caylors. They have one set of holes on the line for the tracker/guardian frame bindings. Great condition and those orange bases rule! I’d prefer to sell local to an SLC mag but could ship at your expense. Asking $350Click image for larger version.

Someone alluded to this recently, but I agree that the Wrens don't get enough love in this thread anymore. Skied the Wren 102 Ti for a number of days in a row out east and they are a fantastic ski for those not fortunate enough to live out west. I've skied numerous ON3P skis and each has a unique flavor, but for someone living out east it is a GREAT ski. I'm 6'2", 175, found the 184 length to be super easy to carve but then release, throw sideways, even found it easy in the bumps because even though it has some metal, it also has that classic ON3P rocker that makes absorbing bumps easy. What's nice is that it preserves the contradictory damp but lively bamboo core that ON3P has perfected while biting on harder surface when you need it to, and still super fun in the soft stuff when it snows a couple inches or on manmade snow. Sure, on pure ice go get a race ski - but when there was some ice but also the hope for anything else including the snow that collects at the side of trails, it was perfect every single day. This is a very easy ski that charges and found myself reaching for it over and over.

Just FYI, I'm headed to the shop tomorrow morning when they open. I'll let you know if I don't snag em, but I wanted to save you a trip if I do.

I am curious how the rocker profile compares to the previous gen wren 96. I have a non-ti pair and they are super fun but they have never offered much confidence in truly firm or icy conditions. I avoid groomers as much as possible, but it has been really firm out here lately and I could use a bit more edge bite, even off piste. I even went from the factory 1/1 to a 1/2 edge bevel and it seemed to help some but these things still don't bite well at all. My deathwishes at 112 underfoot have better edge hold. I'm sure a wren 96ti would be a little better, but I wonder about the new 102ti rocker profile. With the advent of the woodsman I wouldn't be surprised if it is a bit flatter of a ski compared to my older 96s. My pair are dead easy to ski, not demanding at all. A wren 96ti with a bit less rocker is what I am dreaming of over these last 5?(!) weeks of high pressure.

Wren 98 on left - Wren 102ti middle and Wren 108 on the right…. Rocker profiles appear to be identical and have no issues with Wren 98 on super firm - absolutely love the Wren series and my 98s have 150+ days and ski like their first days…

Any noticeable performance differences w the Ti? I also have 98s and 108s of the same generations and adore both. 102Ti curios.

Dang looks like the 102ti has more rocker than the 98. I just did some digging and that checks out because according to evo, my 2019 96's have 153cm EE and the 102ti has 151cm EE.

Not saying I don't love the skis either, they are far and away the best I have found for my style of skiing, I have 80 days on them and nothing I have tried in that waist width has been nearly as fun, but I just want more bite! Might try a 1/3 and see where that gets me. Or try to find a used pair of 184 96ti, but the topsheet of the '19 96 is one of my favorite ever.

    Or the fairly rare 88s.

    On that note…

If anyone wants to sell a pair of Wren 96’s or 102’s in a 189cm I’d be interested.

Someone finally bought those stiff 186cm K110s on the Factory Finds. Whoever you were, thank you. I'm getting paid tomorrow and the girlfriend kept asking why I was looking at skis on my computer lol.

While we are discussing wren 102s has anyone compared to mantra 102 or mindbender 99. Hopefully can justify picking up some new low tide sticks this summer.

Really depends on what you look for in your low tide ski. If groomer performance and edgehold is important I'd go Mantra straight away. If you don't care about groomers, but would like relatively good performance in softer snow as well as on chalk etc I'd start considering ON3Ps.
At least that's a historically valid generalization from the different ON3Ps I own, as well as skiing the Mantra a bit this year.

    No idea on the K2.

Finally got to take these bad boys out today. In Kids neighbourhood btw.

Since I'm lazy they still have no base bevel, but can't say it mattered today

I’ve skied several Woodsman skis and a K2 Mindbender 108. Never a Volkl.

The K2 carves groomers really well.

The ON3Ps are awesome in anything soft but I hate HATE, them on ice. Terrifyingly uncomfortable as in I don’t want to do this for a second longer than I have to.

Never skied the K2 on ice tho…
