Anyone know how the Scarpa Precision High Liners compare to the power wraps from Intuition? They look pretty similar to me, and I can get them for a lot less than Intuitions, which is tempting.
I've had both, and I prefer the Scarpas. The Scarpas aren't quite as firm as the PWs (like 10% less) but they haven't shrunk in length like the PWs. Some time ago I was told that the Scarpas have a very thin layer of open foam inside. Whatever. To me the Scarpas are definitely worth the savings.
The Precision High liner has a thin layer of open cell foam against the foot, then medium density ultralon foam, then high density ultralon. The Power Wraps are straight high density ultralon. I've had both. The precision liners are more comfortable, but the power wraps make a boot ski better due to more dense foam.
I know this an old thread bump but wanted to add some info...I was wondering about weight and couldn't find it listed anywhere. Bought a pair and my pair came in at 266 grams each. For comparison my stock Technica Zero G Guide Pro liners were 209 grams. I purchased the 27.5 liner for a 27.5 boot. Really tough to get the boot buckled until I heat molded them. Now they fit like a glove.
