I'm with the Fuge on Orlando. I've had a lot of fun there.
My bud lives on Lake Mary next to Shapiro. Kids a pro after growing up at OWC.
Half the wake sports pro's in the world probably live there.

I come from a family of competitive water skiers and grew up skiing often, but never gravitated toward competition. It's fun, but I don't really have access to it right now.

I like to shit on Orlando but there is some good stuff here if you can afford to do it. However I think that is true of almost anywhere and I just can't make myself like this town. This will all be academic soon.

Still on Pensacola Beach but I split my time between there and Nederland. I like the diversity, don't think I could live in just one area year around.

Yo! Finally settled in here in Loveland. Haven't been on the forum much (cross country move, new job will do that) but wanted to see if any Front Range/NoCo might still be up for meeting up for a beer. I'd be happy to head down to Avery. Let me know... it would be cool to actually meet a few maggots in person.

Haven't been to Avery yet but I love their beer. Should be fun.

I work around the corner from Avery. Let me know what night you settle on and I might make it over for a cold one.

I grew up bass fishing in New Jersey as a kid, I loved it. Florida kind of kicks ass for that. I'm not into the ocean so it's the only thing other than getting real fucking drunk on the beach that I find appealing about Florida.

I gotta ask you, what the heck is up with Florida? I mean, the most bizarre news stories always seem to come from there. You know, like people eating human faces and humping crocodiles and shit.

Really strange people, large reptilian predators and very broad public records laws.

People who visit often don't realize it, but FL has a very potent breed of redneck, and they tend to get into some weird stuff.

Wednesday will be a hot one, so a cold one does sound good.
    Pretty likely I'll head up.

I lived in West Palm when I was 27-28. Yes, the longer term locals, (nobody is really a Florida local) were really weird. But, my favorite social studies happened at the local Publix, when the white trash Appalacian cashier would stare down the old Jewish lady from Brooklyn or Bergen County as she disputed half the charges, whipped out a treasure trove of coupons, and then paid in change and or a slowly written check. Such tension in the air.

And you'd be perfect, sitting on the boat down at the marina, watching the Price is Right after the first few beers of the morning, and shouting something about the damn faggots from Miami to one of your buddies a few boats down.
