I come from a family of competitive water skiers and grew up skiing often, but never gravitated toward competition. It's fun, but I don't really have access to it right now.

I like to shit on Orlando but there is some good stuff here if you can afford to do it. However I think that is true of almost anywhere and I just can't make myself like this town. This will all be academic soon.

I lived in West Palm when I was 27-28. Yes, the longer term locals, (nobody is really a Florida local) were really weird. But, my favorite social studies happened at the local Publix, when the white trash Appalacian cashier would stare down the old Jewish lady from Brooklyn or Bergen County as she disputed half the charges, whipped out a treasure trove of coupons, and then paid in change and or a slowly written check. Such tension in the air.
