Id be into a Toureg TDI but it just wont fly. The Jeep probably wont either. And we already have a wagon, so thats probably out. My brother does the sex too and we try to haul my kids' cousins around a fair amount, so the third row would be nice.

If your wife keeps hitting things, take a look at the XC90. Some friends have a new one, and it has an overhead-view 360 degree camera.

I have a 2006 Sequoia and my wife drives a 2010 Pilot. I fucking love my rig, and coming from a 4 door truck, I find it practically nimble to drive, but most would find it large and unwieldy. If you need a shitton of space it's perfect, I can sleep in it with 3rd row seats removed and middle seats tumbled forward. We have 2 large dogs and 1 small human, so the extra space in the cargo area is welcome (I removed the 3rd row). But the Pilot is still plenty roomy for most uses; we've managed to go on 12 hour drives with all of the beasts and luggage in the car.

So does the Terminator. But go ahead and look at the Volvo if you want to skimp in the safety department.

Eric Grasso If you are considering buying - DO NOT buy a 14' Pathfinder - we bought a 14 Pathfinder Platinum for our family and it's also on it's 3rd CVT Transmission in less than 2 years!!! Again, 3rd transmission in 2 years!!! My first Pathfinder was back in 96 and I had it for over 9 years, loved it. When shopping for a new family vehicle, I put the Pathfinder at the top of my list because of the great experience I had with the older model. What a very bad decision that was. There was mentions on line about class action law suits and other nonsense but to be honest, I don't have the free time to waste nor did I want to continue putting my kids in harm way. The only positive was we did end up meeting our local Nissan dealership on a personal level and had heard many a horror stories about similar stories with Pathfinders. When I went into the dealership, the mechanic showed me SIX new transmissions that were going into other trucks and also had mentioned they had 3 buy back's on new vehicles with the same issues. The fact that Nissan hasn't had a major recall shows where their heads are at - in the sand. Thankfully we were able to trade in this liability and rid our family of this DANGEROUS vehicle and also took on a huge financial hit on this vehicle. We tried the route of going to Nissan corporate when after 8,000 miles our first transmission went and that got us absolutely no where other than more frustration. They didnt seem to care that a brand new vehicle was going into the shop for a transmission! When I went on-line to Edmunds and other car review websites I kicked myself for not reading up on this lemon first before deciding to buy it for our family. Nissan in SC apologized for the issues we were having but said in order for it to be refunded, or considered a lemon, we would need to have this issue happen 3 or more times!!!! I guess driving down the highway at 55mph and the vehicle shaking and shuttering violently is not a concern for their paying customers and they must think we have more free time on our hands to spend it driving to the dealership to fix a car that was less than a year old. Please learn from all these unfortunate circumstances that others have gone through as well. Nissan wants your money and they are not concerned with their customers safety.
Post 2 Vanessa Leeson We bought a pathfinder February 2014 and it's now on its 3rd cvt transmission - who knows how long this one will last. We've only done 50000kms. I doubt I will get another and considering we waited so long for this new model to come out. All they gave us was two years extra warranty. We live in the rural area and need a reliable car and my husband wouldn't let me buy a 'jeep' - it would have been no worse!
Post 3-Shannon Starr Ours is in the shop...again. CVT issues. This car is a ticking time bomb! Third model year and Nissan still has not resolved the issue! They just keep selling a car that is going to fail! Having a car essentially go into neutral while you are driving is a huge safety issue!! This thing is getting traded in. Shame on Nissan for continuing to sell a vehicle with a safety issue for 3 years!!! Unbelievable!!!
    Post 4- from Saudi Arabia.
فراس اسعد I used to drive the 2008 model, it is so strong, I used to like it so much even I advised so many people to purchase it, however, I am driving now the new model of 2014 LS, very bad car, I am very disappointed, the worst is the new CVT gear, the sunroof, the AC... the local dealer also very bad.
Post 5-Margaret Elliott I bought a brand new Nissan Pathfinder in June 2015 have only driven it for 11 days and then the CVT transmission died on the 1.7.2015 and the car had to be transported at my cost $5580 as Nissan roadside assist does not HELP back from Broome WA to Sydney NSW
Today is 10.8.2015 day 41 and I still have no idea when I will have it repaired as the Nissan dealer repairing the car at Tuncurry/Forster NSW says they are waiting for parts that will not arrive till late this month and then they can start to repair the car
So anyone wanting to buy a new Pathfinder BEWARE you may own one but not drive one

So tell me exactly what I'm srong about. Renault Destroyed the company with its cheap engineering and crappy QC.
    3000 something cars were recalled.

Cars get recalled. Their 2005-2009 issue was a actual problem.

Here in 2016 the Murano won the highest reliability award available, running a CVT. But I am sure you know more than JD Powers.

Regardless, the point is about Nissan reliability as a brand. As a brand they are very reliable cars. So are Infiniti, which clobbers Acura as far as sales.

Are you an employee of Nissan or simply an imbecile. There were 10 seperate recalls alone on the 2013 plus 10 recalls on the 2014 models. I doubt each recall notice affected 150 cars apiece. Not to mention the Murano is not the same car anyone is talking about. Your either trolling or a fucking nitwit.

According to some recent threads if it's flying cars your wife is after then you should be looking at Foresters or maybe M3s. Or if you really have to have that 3rd row there's always the Pilot. Landings are never a guarantee though.

I'm going to do my best and on your rec, I'll get her in one. Not to get into the psychology of it too much, but if any man, woman, beast or auto has ever let her down, they will enjoy her ire for the rest of her days. On the flip side, if you get top marks, she'll be loyal to a fault. The Jeep sits in the former category unfortunately. Even if a new one comes with a dwarf under the seat that massages her feet when not on the pedals, I've got a tough row to hoe. Better for me to accept and move on, then convince and be responsible for the choice. But I have similar foibles. For instance, I refuse to be friends with anyone named Tyler.

The 2015 Dependability ratings that BD is referencing reviews 2012 models. The Pathfinder was redesigned for the 2013 model year. So I'm really not sure how the dependability rating of a 2012 Murano is related to a 2013+ Pathfinder.

I have a 2013 sequoia and the third row folds flat (2nd row does too) with options to keep 1/2/3 seats as cargo/seats. Turning radius is great for the size of the vehicle, but the latest gen is outdated compared to the comp in the category. Center locking diff switch and optional full time 4wd is nice too. It is a bulbous vehicle, but we easily fill this beast on week long trips.

    new mazda cx-9 looks nice

Don't think they really know. My 09 Lesbaru Legacy leaked/burned oil consistently and the engine line was eventually found to be 30% poor engine reliability (risk of ruin way too high). When I bought it the positives were reliability, AWD, somewhat comfy cruiser. Didn't quite turn out like that.

My strategy on cars is buy quality & used, have an 08 nissan with 65k and an 05 honda with 177k. Losing very little sleep on reliability concerns. It's funny but I used TGR to help guide both purchases, and couldn't be happier .

I got broken up with by a Tyler because his friends were making fun of him.

Based on facebook he's doing alright but recently quit his job to start a maid business. He manages maids.

And he named his kid crue.

He doesn't clean the houses. He has maids he manages.

I'm pretty sure he's an alright guy, now, actually. That was in high school and he lives in a different state. He's a decent skier, too. Or he was.

Lol. No. When in high school, I sometimes cleaned stalls at this horse barn that had an indoor so I could keep my horse there and ride in the winter.

Well, I was taking Tyler to see my horse and we walked in and the barn owner had just finished breeding mares and was washing the stallions erect penis. She was not unattractive and it was very awkward.
