    Need some advice again...Tia.

Alright, so I've been reading around here, and I used to bmx and I ride motorcycles so I have an inclination as to what I'd like. I'm moving to the Gulf Coast and it'd be nice to be able to float. I'm also within an hour of Mt. Zion single track and I'd like to take advantage of that. I've never really been a fan of suspension and my second choice is that limited travel Kona Process 111, but money doesn't grow on trees for me.

I'm pretty sure I'd dig the Surly Ice Cream Truck and they are having that wicked sale right now, and they're all out of ICT's. They still have Moonlanders, but the ict is more intriguing. I sat on a large today, and I'm 5'8", 155 lbs, and it didn't feel too big. For the most part I'll be riding it 2-5 miles to work, but I'd like to hit the beach and trails. The weight and more forward bars on the Moonlander are not so appealing to me. The frame being lower at the seat are appealing to me. Thoughts and suggestions?

The Moonlander seems like old tech, but better construction for rust?

Don't get the Moonlander. Its handling is really quite terrible. Riding it a few miles back and forth to work will get old real quick....soooo slow, and then not all that fun on trails.

I think a Krampus might be a good call for you. Maybe even the Instigator 2.0, which I think is also on sale right now?

Krampus would be rad. 29 x 3.0 tires should be alright on the beach when run at low psi. We rode in some challenging snow conditions on Sunday and my buddy was doing surprisingly well on his Krampus. I don't have any snow-time on the Krampus, but it stands as one of the most fun bikes I've ever ridden on dry dirt.

At 5'8", I'd stick with a medium Surly.

I think 3.8" is the slimmest I want to go, unless I can pick up a set of 3.0's and a set of 4.8's on interchangeable rims, but it'll have to be able to accommodate both.

You can swap in a wheel set with narrower tires on most fat bikes. You just have to make sure you get one with the right hub spacing, because most fat bikes use wider hub spacing than "industry standard."

Called the local shop to see if they'd sell their demo ict with a Bluto for $1500. Just waiting to hear back from the owner.
