Binge Eating Disorder? - This is a thing?

Is this really a thing or is it just another way for every 'Merican to be labeled and fed more pills? Don't get me started on all of the other "disorders" already out there, like my favorite, fibromyalgia.

Man, I'm getting sick of all the made up disorders we like to label ourselves with so we can fit in with "normalized" society.

Yeah, I have binge eating disorder when I get the munchies, but really don't need another drug to counteract the effect of another.

    What thinks ya?

    Dude... I have that.

It flares up when I go to Mexican restaurants.

I think I get S.A.D... Every winter for the last few years , I've developed a binge.
This winter, it's shaping up to be soda. I haven't had a soda in years before this November, but the recycle bin has collected about a dozen 2-liter Safeway cola bottles since Thanksgiving.
In previous years, it's been JellyBellys, LaffyTaffy, and cassoulet.
That cassoulet winter was fkn scary...I'd pass out from gluttony and have these intense psychedelic nightmares...

I get it with pringles. If I have a new can, I can't stop until it is gone.

People binge drink, why not binge eat?

I can see it being a disorder. Anorexia, Bulimia, Pica. It's a sick, sad, world.

If I was going to binge eat something it would be these:

Yeah, those bags of Stacy's can go pretty quick.

In the good old days we just called it being a pig.

And remember, fibromyalgia is real to the person that has it. Neurons man, they're fascinating.

Its a thing, I know someone with BED and they are prescribed Vyvanse. She eats that shit like candy.
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

I'm curious why this is a joke. Is anorexia a joke? Is alcoholism a joke? Depression? Anxiety? What about compulsive risk takers?

For me it's Country Fried Steak and Eggs. Side of hash browns and toast. I eat all of it.

This is one of few places where I have ordered a breakfast and was unable to finish due to the shear volume of food: http://gwenniesrestaurant.com/

Sept/Oct visits by those little crack peddling girl guides. A box of those chocolate mint cookies last about 20min.

Their Chicken Fried Steak is good, but their Biscuits and Gravy are sublime.
