Cocaine Chute last Wednesday. V-Bowl was about 6 inches of fluff on rocks and the moraine was not covered which forced us to walk back and forth across it.

Mount Johnson on Nov 29th. The chute was firm and windscowered and accessing it was not for the faint of heart haha.

Nice powdery snow in the Northeast Couloir of Mount Abbot yesterday. The snow in Le Petit Griffon however was variable with windcrusts.

How was the Funny Lake yurt? Any idea what size? Seems small for 8 people. Website lacks details.

Are you referencing the VA lake yurt? Never heard funny lake. The yurt is set up well. The pellet stove cranks and theres a nice kitchen and communal table. As far as size, 8 people max. It would be tight if you had 8 but it doesn't sound like it fills up super often. We had it to ourself (2 people), and when you book it, you will know if there are others booked for the same timeframe or not.

I've climbed 4 days in Lee Vining so far this season and one at Lundy Falls. The Lee Vining approach is in rough shape right now. Chouinard Falls is in good early season condition, but folks should stay off the left-most route so it has some more time to form. The Main Wall has been climbed recently, but the bottom might be in weird shape after this last storm.

Must have been the case, because I specifically typed "Ginny" Lakes. Now it wants to just change it to Ginn...wtf?

Yeah, I suspect it is similar to the Baldy Knoll hut, which with 8 people would be crowd. Nice to know it does.usually fill up.

Hoarhey, why don't you come out for a Eastside yurt trip?

BTW, Chad talked me into a J-hole trip next month. Sorry you want be there, but there is still time to book.

    Who's around over New Years?
Also, no gnar for me - mellow stuff only. Arm popped out of socket after Turkey Day. Not exactly wanting to train you how to reduce this bitch while I'm screaming at you.

It would be great to see. A big spring
It would cut a few hours off my drive time

Looking for a partner for the next two days. Thinking about twin lakes, VA lakes, or maybe lundy but I'm open to anything preferably mammoth north. Shoot me a pm if interested.

Yea that may turn out to be a distinct disadvantage.
