    Doug Flutie - true?

Very strange. Hope it's not true for his sake.

Both parents die on the same day. Sad if so.

Doesn't seem overly sad to me, or at least not any more sad that losing loved ones under normal circumstances. Married 56 years and die close in time is something that many people would love as their exit.

My parents dies within two months of each other. After you get through the shit you realize it was a good way for them to go out close to each other if they had a long and happy life together.

My step-grandfather died in '94. Loise lived another 12 years, Till 94 years old. I use to go up to her house to pick her up for family dinners and whatnot, and she would just say on the drive, multiple time, "why can't I just die? My husband dead.... I have nothing...."
It was incredibly sad. What does a 20-something idiot say to that? I'd play it down; Tell here wer're grateful to still have her in in our lives, and wanted to celebrate with her all she'd achieved. It's was fucking tough tho, she just sat around doing nothing. Waiting to die. The Fluties were lucky
