Does anyone know if Hot Gear Bags is still in business? My moms tried to buy jesski and me the double for Christmas, and she says it's been three weeks with no contact. They didn't reply to her email or phone call, and their voicemail is full. They didn't charge her card, so we're not worried about it from that standpoint, but we'd love a double boot bag!

Can't say for sure but we ordered one last year about this time and got the exact same treatment, just showed up after about a month or so, never did get any response whatsoever. I know that doesn't help but we eventually got the bag and it's sweet for sure

So you people dont live in a house but you have a heated boot bag?

We used to prop our boots so the vehicle heater blows hot air down into the liner on the drive to the hill.

Got one of those 12v boot dryers years ago for like $25, worked fine If memba to use it. Kinda noisey.

Any mo I just bring them inside over night near a fan and presto changeo they are dry and warm by the next morning.

One thing Subaru's suck at is blowing hot air to the foot well.

This is my current method of warming the boots before skiing.

Drive to the hill is 90 mins, so boots are room temp when we get there...

Not sure what's happened since Ivan died.
But a lot of people are unhappy with HG.
    Find another brand.

Seems a hell of a lot cheaper to buy a heating pad at the drugstore and put it in your normal boot bag. Could do the same thing with a boot dryer, but more expensive. Don't the Audi's you guys drive to the hill come with a boot heater. Seems like Audi, BMW or MB are missing an opportunity if not.

    First world problem for sure.

I agree it is a constitutional right for Americans to be assholes...its just too bad that so many take the opportunity...

Anyone have a heated bag from Athalon?

$119 from ebags. 18% cashback from Active Junky = around $98 total.

    Heated Boot Bags?

Have that Athalon Bag. Works pretty well, but it is slow to heat them up. I also have a dry guy boot heater (4 prong one). It draws too much power to run in my car (think something is wrong with the circuit). So last time I went up I threw my boots on that for 30 minutes in the morning, then put in the bag which was on high in my car the whole way to the hill (2 hours). Boots super toasty upon arrival (bordering on too hot, made my feet sweat). Heating up in the bag gets the shell/sole warm which seems to retain heat better than air dryer. I'd think on highest setting 90 minutes is enough to warm well.

So far so good. Only used it once though. Seems very well made. Has a car adapter and normal wall outlet plug. 3 heat settings (use low one overnight?) can fit my boots, helmet, goggles, gloves, hat, socks, mask, and some tools in there, which is awesome for flying (did that last year with it).

So far would recommend for sure. Honestly even if the heating element were to die it's still cheaper than some other non heated boot bags.

Used the athalon today. Warmed in morning on 2 for an hour then car for an hour. Pretty nice and worked well. Boots were warm. Worth $100
I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

So it's okay to use with intuition liners. What does "will break them down over time" mean? How long is that? A few seasons?
Athalon sounds like the way to go

Foam has millions/billions of little air bubbles/iinch³.

Heat and/or pressure changes their wall structure and makes them susceptible to popping. More popping = less cushion = sore feet. Henceforth the term "breaking down".

Just as new car smell leaches into the air, ski boot liners' lifespan is limited due to chemical structure changing/aging.

    bump for feedback

    Question
Would using a 12volt lighter plug in seat pad or blanket work in a duffle bag as a boot warmer.
I checked a few available brands in the GWN and some are in the $300 cdn range.
I figure if an UL (safety inspected) approved plug in 12v with 2 temperature settings would do the trick.
Is this a good idea or can anyone recommend a heated bag that's not big bucks.
