No photos from the first couple hours when it was REALLY good. Not too shabby later in the day though. Wind buff kept some aspects creamy and E/NE aspects were full of snow. All time off the slow triple.

It was good at alta when supreme opened. Snow is heavy but is moving a lot in chutes. Stay safe.

I need to go to Utah.
    Utah?
Yeah, Utah. It's wedged in between Wyoming and Nevada. You've seen pictures of it, right?

So after 15 years we finally made it to Utah.....

Thanks BCSAR and POWMOW Ski Patrol for rescues

Holy crap your guys snow pack is nuts right now. It's really interesting to say the least, any photos of current slide activity? I would love seeing some of that. Thanks and be careful everyone. From the internets it looks super touchy.

Today was great. We didn't even make it over to Supreme, but Wildcat was fantastic. Lots of slide activity visible all over, in and out of bounds...

^ these 3 usually (and also currently) have pretty up-to-date shots of recent slide activity.

I found stable snow today, from 6200'-10k on north, east and west facing aspects..
There has been a widespread natural avalanche cycle.
Many paths went to ground and wall to wall, others not as deep and pockety.
No cracking or collapsing experienced. Angles over 35° were skied successfully and without incident.
Social media is a great place to find sensationalism. Facts are much harder to come by there.

Yup, funny thing is, most avalanches occur during and immediately following storms.

Went and poked around Mineral today. Snowpack seems pretty variable. In sheltered spots it was pretty easy to push my ski pole to the ground thru unconsolidated snow. Less sheltered spots were holding denser wind affected snow on top of unconsolidated snow. Lots of avalanche debris piles covered with new snow were visible in Mill B, etc. . Hammered on a lot of test slopes and didn't get anything to move. Kept if pretty mellow today.

You are the first person I've seen say this anywhere as this video has made its rounds. But I totally agree

Outdoor Research doesn't make a ski pack...

How about somebody sponsors Trent for a gym membership too? If I'm going to watch a video with that much heavy breathing, there better be a money shot at the end of it.

! found stable snow today, from 6200'-10k on north and west facing aspects.
    6" fresh!
Cracking within the upper coupla inches from wind effect. No movement, no collapsing.
Angles over 35° were skied successfully and without incident.
Didn't check social media for a danger rating but...

    I do have some concerns

I spent my Christmas Eve (also my birthday) up Mill D in the Pow Park 3 and Short Swing area. Kept slope angles below 25 on mostly NW aspects and dipped into the aspens. Ran into others in the area with the same safe results. It's sketchy out there but make good decisions and resist the temptation of the steep and deep. Mellow and deep is rad too! Stay safe

still "real ass good" turning conditions
no bears wolves or tears shed
they sure expended a lot of boom sticks on the honeycombs no idea of results
