Ya know I always picture your dog talking. It is going to be a shock meeting you, sort of like when I visited my brother in England and my complete association with the English accent had been Benny Hill and Monty Python on the tele before Saturday Night Live. Everything they said was hilarious.

Going to be in town middle of next week for about a week. Have some Snowbasin tickets, if anyone wants to show me around there-seems they just got the snow. Have some Alta/Bird tickets too. Up for touring. Send a pm

I don't know when the last time you all checked the snow totals but the Snowbird Snowcam is reaching close to 16" and it looks like its dumping up there still. Looks like the getting might be a lot better than expected tomorrow.

If anyone has an extra comp ticket I'd be down for a basin weekday next week, skied there a few times but certainly no expert on the mountain. Otherwise probably go for a tour wed or thurs or both if anyone cares to join.

SFB your stoke ^ is getting me thru the workday today...

Suicide ended up being pretty good. Stripped the screw head on my dynalooks so I had to dig the splitboard out of the closet. Deep closer to the top and soft turns for most of the way.

Skied Point Supreme to Rocky Point to the shoulder coming off of the south side of Wolverine. Everything stacked right side up and bonding pretty well. Didn't see anything more than a few shallow sluffs moving. Looked like a small (4") natural cycle overnight on a density change within the new snow. Wolvie didn't have much more than blower on a stout wind slab until you got pretty low.

Had a couple guys drop directly on top of us, in plain sight. Mentioned it to his buddy when I got to the top, and he said he would talk to him about it, but tried to validate it by saying that it was crowded. . 30 second later, or if he had moved 20 feet to his left, no one would have been in his way. Wasn't entirely stoked on that.

Saturday the weekend of OR. For some reason, though, it felt more like a party than a zoo. Great day out beeboppin around Little Cottonwood. Blower on Three Trees, blower in Grizzly and some blower on Microwave. That's Powderbirds on the point in the photo below. Funny thing was, they decided visibility wasn't up to snuff and flew away. More for us.

Even stumbled upon a freshly engaged couple above Twin Lakes pass. He had proposed just moments before we skinned up to them. Congrats, friendly strangers!

Some days, I'm as jaded as anyone about the Wasatch and the Cottonwoods, that it's busy, tracked out and too competitive. Then I have a morning like this one and it all makes perfect sense. There's nowhere I'd rather be. Magic.

We got it pretty good here.

Did Benson & Hedges yesterday - kick step hard and billy goat-esque in the couloir, someone got into it before us. The apron had deep soft turns. Dug a quick pit, 1-2cm hard slab about 25 cm or so down, seems to be decently bonding to what's underneath. Started to get a Q3 around 17 and it fell apart more when I wailed on it at 22. Didn't give us much concern - but we did slinky up and down on the exposed part of the apron.

Excuse my jonginess on this topic, but how does one use an avalung improperly? Tube fastened to pack?

Proper use-tube in mouth before descending in avalanche terrain.

Improper use-tube hanging from shoulder strap of pack. Not very effective in a burial situation if you can't get it to your mouth.
