A lot of shit talk going on.
At the bush Winny has stated they'll fire up again during the cold snap this weekend. Still decent looking coverage on Upper Grinder visible from the bob window. Would likely be good with the forecast 2-5" except for the active snowmaking. I expect Stowe will fire up as well. Next weeks balmy weather should provide some good skiing opportunities.

44` and rainy w/ peak gust of 27mph bob

If Codere is not on the crack he's def high on weed along with his buddy Justin (he's an ex liberal MP!). Country is going to shit!

Bromont seems to have moved their opening date from Nov 20 to Nov 28. :/

Tremblant is still opening on the 20th. Might take a rip up there to have a look see.

They ran guns for about 36 hours last weekend, mainly on upper ridgeview, Lord - Only on the upper 1/4 of the mtn. Probably not a lot of base/coverage. Could be a little different by Saturday am.
Thanks, that's exactly the detailed info I was looking for. Never opposed to hiking for turns, but I hate scraping mud off my skins and skis.

I'd almost rather scrape some mud than deal with the variability of base building blow. There's almost zero window anymore to catch an early season dump tha's not mixed with manmade. That being my shitty own opinion, I'll probably go for a hike with sticks this weekend. It is nice to see forecasters talking about more traditional NE winter weather compared to coastals and cutters that we've dealt with for like, oh the last 4 years.
Thanks for the rainy mornin' jam seszh.

I would avoid snowmaking trails at all costs this weekend. The first priority for them is to blow base building snow (schmoo), which is teh suck for skiing. Look for mellow grassy surfaces up high (thinking cliff trail or high rd)

I loathe skiing on snowmaking snow. I think I would rather not ski.

Good news! NWS updated snow totals to 5-10 along the spine through tomorrow, time to break out the skins!

25` breezy and 13/16" of fresh snow bob. Cannot see if the guns are on due to low ceiling.

Nice to see a dusting of snow here in Jamaica. Too bad the long range forecast is nothing but warm. Looks like mountain bike season continues.

Well ... mid-winter temps & winds (up high), mid-winter snow quality, but hardly mid-winter base depths.
Although CTSmith was not complaining (except perhaps after-the-fact about my poor-quality photography in low-light conditions):

Skiing looks like fun although I think I am going for a spin. JS could upgrade to an I6 for better cell pics but the added weight would necessitate
removing 6 Gu packets and 23" of p cord from his kit.

bushy guns laying out the paste, should be some good midweek turns to be had, winny said approx 5" at the summit.

You may jest, but I bought the econo "Mini" version of the S4 specifically because top-of-the-line phones are too big to fit in the pockets of my Dynafit tights/pants.

Cardigan ski trails got a serious buffing today. 40 volunteers lopped, sawed, did gully repairs and built waterbars.

Partial jest. Really an educated guess based on your weight obsessed gear lists. I got an EFS 10-22 to avoid carrying 2.8 L glass most of the time.

Riding was fun for sure yesterday with no rifle toting hikers to be seen, just a few animal tracks.
We checked out the new STP store in S Burl. yesterday. Mostly clothes with some camping gear and crampons to fluff it out. Picked up some new Garmont hikers for winter shoes.
