Fished the Upper River last Sunday. Did pretty well behind spawning silvers with a washed 10mm, but I took off my ice walkers and hung them outside my pack. Then I blew the snot out of my nose a couple times tabbing back to Grayling...Smelled month-old dead sockeye in my mustache the whole ride home. Entire back of truck still fkn reeks of sockeye jelly from the cleats and pack exterior, which I probably also put it down on a dead fish, which were evidently impossible to avoid...
