    Rugby World Cup 2015

    Heeeeeeey Haka-rena!

Alright slags, serve up yer predictions commentary and shite, some good games coming. Once again, I'm rooting for the AB's, not quite as bad as being a Cowboys fan, but still.

    How are you watching this?

    I am seriously considering this:
    https://rwc2015ppv.com

using my Apple TV to watch it on the big screen.

Anyone have any other ideas? My cable provider wants $37.95 per game. Crack smokers.

    I'ma do this:

How to watch the Rugby World Cup 2015 online: Watch the Rugby World Cup live online
You can watch all matches live online through ITV Player. If you're using a PC or laptop, open your browser and visit itv.com/itvplayer/itv for the ITV matches and itv.com/itvplayer/itv4 for the ITV4 matches. Click the Watch Live tab above the video preview window, then click the Play icon to begin playback.
If you are using a smartphone or tablet you'll need to download the ITV Player app from the App Store or Google Play Store. Having downloaded and installed ITV Player, launch the app and select either the ITV or ITV4 tab at the top of the screen. Now simply tap the large Watch Live button on the preview window at the top of the screen.
If you are not on an unlimited mobile data contract on your phone or tablet you should ensure that you are connected to Wi-Fi. To stream live Rugby World Cup matches on a PC, laptop, tablet or smartphone you also need to have a valid TV Licence.
See also: How to watch Rugby World Cup 2015 games live on your iPad or iPhone
How to watch the Rugby World Cup 2015 outside the UK
ITV Player is geo-restricted outside the UK, but that doesn't mean you can't watch it when you're overseas. All you need do is download a VPN that will mask your IP address and make it appear to ITV Player that you are in fact in the UK. You can then browse to ITV Player in your web browser and watch whatever you like.
Often recommended services include Hola and UnoTelly; we've reviewed a load more in our article Best free VPN services 2015.

So if I pay for the private internet access I am good?
Do you need an ITV account ?

I don't think you need an ITV account (haven't tried yet) and there are anonymous VPN services out there for free, I believe.

Holy shit, watched the highlights, can't believe they pulled it off. Gutsy going FTW instead of the tie and incredible they could top the Boks.

I paid the $200 for the Universal sports package and it's awesome. Steep price for sure but I love this game! I'm thinking Wallabies for the win. ABs will be tough to beat though.

I caught the 2nd half of NZ v Argentina. Entertaining game.

Australia usually do well but they will be lucky to beat NZ when they meet. Although the world cup is all single games so maybe luck will be on their side at the right times?

    Ok, got it dialed.

Go to Tipp's link, and buy a private internet address for a year. $39.95

    Then go here-
    itv.com/itvplayer/itv

You will need to sign up for access, and they want a Postal Code to verify.

I just looked up the Postal Code of my old University in Ealing, and it worked-

    W5 5RF

I also had to sign up for an account. I just used my regular gmail account info.
    Worked no problem.

I'll let you know if they track me down and extradite me to England.

That JPN/SA game was intense. That last try was about as good as I have seen.

Have any of you guys done the Apple TV thing yet? I've just managed to get access to coverage online via the methods described above. I don't own an Apple TV but would consider buying one if the picture looks good. I'm wondering if the resolution is good enough to look good on a big TV.

I wouldn't bother with Apple TV for this. It is not too good, at least in my house, at displaying the computer screen on the TV. It works ok for a while, and then freezes and stutters and stops a lot. I thought it was the feed, but once on the computer, it is fine. You would be better off just hooking your laptop up to an HDMI port, IMO.

I have just been watching most of the games on ITV On-Demand. On the computer screen they are flawless. You just have to deal with a bunch of commercials, but you can pretty much view them all at once by skipping ahead, and then jump back. If you watch later, you only have to watch 2 or 3 commercials, and listen to that horrible song by Paloma Faith:

Thanks,Warthog. I streamed the Eagles match Sunday on the computer and it worked great. US looked good in the first half. Too bad they fell apart in the second half.

Thanks tippster and warthog. Combo of pia and itv works. Couldn't watch AB's vs Georgia live due to delays and buffering but waited a few hours for the whole UK to go to bed and watched on demand just fine.

Some of these pools games are a bit crazy - that game was Georgia's tournament highlight to be able to take on the worlds best and be as aggressive and physical as possible without regard for the next few weeks of the tournament while the AB's are just trying to get through without getting hurt and the real tournament starts in two weeks.

As for today - lets go wallabies! Aussie aussie, oi oi oi. Would not be upset to see the poms get a thrashing and be out of the tournament on home soil.

Thanks guys for the heads-up on the VPN/ITV player combo.

First quarterfinal was a hell of a match. Wales was brave, and might have pulled it off, but hats off to the 'Boks. That one was a nailbiter to the end.

Blacks and Bleus up next. France looked gassed against Ireland in the pool match, but maybe they actually wanted to play NZ, a team they always play super tough.

Firstrowsports streams it online, quality can be on and off.

Wales had a helluva defense but zero offense spirit.

Can't wait for Ireland to rock Argentina tomorrow!

ABs wasting no time. Can't figure out why the French didn't call up Trinh Duc for this campaign, gonna regret that now that Michalek is out.

Fuck. We're getting schooled. This guy, Savea, is a a monster in an awesome team.

    Rugby World Cup 2015

Savea is a beast. Reminds me of Lomu back in the day. Can't say that France actually played that badly, just that NZ looked unstoppable.
