Can honestly say that I never had the desire to have sex with my ex. It’s not that she wasn’t attractive it’s that I didn’t like her, like I couldn’t really stand to be around her anymore. I’m sure for some it’s harmless fun though.

Sorry to everyone else for this nonsense - just thought I'd share a self-deprecating incident on here without getting attacked (apparently I'm the first to ever fool around with their ex?). Mag Unicorn - to answer your question, my ex has spent a good deal of time in therapy over the past few years and actually - shockingly - apologized to me in a very sincere way. So our co-parenting since then has been great. Not a bad person she's just a little messed up and then I got caught up in nostalgia and that she's the mother of my kids. Dumb on my part.

It's possible to criticize someone's judgement without criticizing their character or while still developing a sense of empathy towards them. You can say "Holy shit that was a dumb decision" - which TahoeJ would almost certainly agree with - and then follow that up with "but, having experienced sadness and pain myself, I feel for what he is going through and I do not wish that sadness upon him or upon anyone else...even if I strongly condemn his actions." Furthermore, TahoeJ probably doesn't need anyone telling him what a dumb idea this was. Lessons have a way of teaching themselves.

When i slept with the ex it was with the starter wife, I was like 22 so pretty young/ dumb as fuck, there were no kids, assets were already split up & I had the seperation agreement in place, no other GF in the wings so I had absolutely zero to lose

but I never slept with # 2 , too much at stake
