The worst part was that I was driving my then-girlfriend's Jetta to the parts store in order to get parts to fix my Jetta.

Cool. I didn't appreciate that Catskills gets to over 3K feet in elevation. Highest we get in the finger lakes is 2K and that extra 1K makes a big difference. to temps.

Nah. The stealership offered me $9,500 for a car that Kelly BB says is worth $16K in "good" condition (it actually fits their definition of "very good").

I may let my son take over payments and eventually own the car since he's driving a Grand Cherokee as a commuter.

If I'm not mistaken Belleayre has the highest base elevation in NY. The tops of the Catskills High Peaks are over 4k.

At least you could probably take comfort in knowing your girlfriend was hot. Cause all hot girls in college drove Jettas; which I can confirm.

plattekill tops out at 3500ft. on storm days the roads are often fine up
til last couple of miles...the last 2 miles of incline brings slippy travel. and then the mountain can be full-on powday.

According to the NYSB directory, Plattekill’s base is higher by 175 feet

Picked up my new car today. It was a little over 2 hours to get home. Effortless on a couple of fairly major state highway that have a lot of elevation change. My wife followed me in our 2019 VW Sportwagen and I never realized how much of a dog it is compared to the E400.

Didn't bring a lightning cord so didn't test their CarPlay interface (2017 was the first year M-B had it).

    Confirmed no steering wheel heat

Studying the owner's manual trying to figure out all of the features and how to access them.

Need some interior shots. Heated steering wheel is such a nice feature and doesn’t cost much. Once you’ve had it…you know. Surprised more people don’t order it when they spend thousands on wheels and plastic trim

Got the new ADS rear shocks installed on my w211. $1500! I was fretting but car rides beautifully again.

Was originally sold in the Bay Area so not shocking it didn't have the heated wheel or the warmth package.

Wife's Ridgeline has the heated wheel and despite hating how that car drives, I do like it on cold mornings.

Love the two tone interior. The black carpet hides dirt. I'll dig up the high res picture of my wagon interior.
