So finally became a true northwestern by buying my first outback. My previous mtn vehicle was a 2003 Acura MDX (which I still have). I got a 2012 outback 3.6 limited. I can't wait to take it up to the mtn. This car is fast to and such a smooth quite ride. Handling is crisp and tight. I really like this car a lot.

After driving stick shift BMW's (and it's Bimmer not Beamer, a Beamer is a motorcycle) for 35 years I changed to a flat six with paddle shifters. Picked up my '16 3.6R Thursday (and yes I know the paddles don't really shift gears).
BMW's aren't bad in the snow provided you use 4 snow tires even on the X models. But, maintenance costs on newer BMW's without a warranty are out of hand. I also finally needed an automatic after tearing both meniscus making using the clutch problematic (and yes I know how to shift a manual without a clutch).
Besides being a great ski car the Eyesight function of Subaru's is great for old farts, I'm 68, it warns you when you wander out of your lane and even brakes the car in heavy traffic so you can nap while you commute. It even came standard with the rubber cargo liner, Subaru-badged doorsills, and rubber bumper pad.

My wife has 115k on her 2000 VDC Outback and has never really had any issues w/ it. As far as the lesbo thing, we've been married 26 years and I never knew she was a lesbian. I feel so foolish.
