well if you do all that I'm not sure what ski it is but its no longer a JJ, like the lotus 124 is it a wailer or a Lotus?

anyway I know one person in town who doesn't like the JJ and its the owner of the other ski store in town that doesn't sell Armada, judging from the huge number of locals I see who don't know how uncool JJ's are the ski is a hit so buddy op should just save himself a whole bunch of coin & grab a used pair for cheap

if he doesn't like em he gets to post it up next season and tell us how the ski sucks and that now he is all about some other boutique ski which are made in a repurposed cow barn by druid virgins in a far off land

lol, touche XXX'er. you totally right. sorry for the thread drift.

IMO JJ 2.0 is a better design...if then, I still suggest that iteration of the ski.

correct me, but Armada is not really a boutique anymore, in fact, is Armada is Atomic and made on Atomic factory?

P.S. I missed the train when I could buy a new JJ 2.0 for about $400, but now I don't know if I want a 186 or 193 or neither... seems like soft powder skis

Guessing XXX-er is referring to the darling brands of TGR: ON3P, PM Gear, Praxis, etc.

If you're on the fence about what type of pow ski you want (soft, stiff, camber, reverse/reverse, etc) I'd suggest doing what others have already mentioned, and buy what you think you may like used from here on Gear Swap or elsewhere. You'll get a feel of what you like, or don't like, without making much of an investment, and then you can buy brand new exactly what you want (if you even need to at that point -- why get rid of what works?) skis you wouldn't have been able to demo otherwise. At the very least you can use what you've tried as points of comparison for future purchases.

yeah Geek pretty much that list which used to include DPS but I think DPS are just really expensive so not a chichi enough ski for bro use anymore, maybe just a denitst or doctor ski? But don't skis get made in factories where ever? so what exactly is wrong with making a ski in the atomic factory they make a lot of race winning alpine skis, BD used to make skis in the atomic factory before they moved it to china, in fact I couldn't find anything wrong with my new atomic redsters or my BD's made by atomic, or the JJ's made by atomic or my chinese made BD's or my Dynafits made by i believe in the Fisher factory? G3 are made in tunisia and I think Moment uses the same factory I think Tua made skis there before going tits up and so its not important whats important is just buy some fuckign skis and go skiing

the advertised turning radius is under 20M so when the JJ get pushed yeah they are gona seem soft, anyone who read the spec sheet would know that, but its way more core to complain they don't make 40 m turns

Armada is not Atomic, but the JJ is made in the Atomic factory. The skis with full Titanal layers (Invictus series, ARV Ti) are made in the Blizzard factory. And yes, the current Dynafit skis are made in the Fischer factory. You could do worse.
