IQ Max Slider System- did that work????

Blizzard 2010/2011 Titan Zeus IQ Max Skis with IQ Max Slider System

IQ Max Slider System permits 7cm of adjustability for different binding positioning and acts as an interface between the ski and any binding you wish to attach that day -- be it alpine, AT or telemark

I guess this was a feature that I never heard about??

    just curious.

^^ buddy of mine has some on his Blizzard Answers, he loves them. One pair of skis and he can switch between telemark and alpine bindings. Very heavy, but he does not seem to care, so it is a non-issue for him.

Edit: forgot, he also owns a pair of Blizzard One's, so 2 pairs of skis and 2 binding plates to mix & match.

I had the Titan Cronos....loved the ski. The weight was never an issue unless I was hiking.

Had several pairs of Magnums with the Max sliders - loved 'em; rock solid. I believe they're still using the narrower version on the frontside carvers.

I had this exact setup a few seasons ago. Depending on the day I could swap plate from ski to ski. It was a twenty second job an I did it all the time. This was also before I understood the value of light gear. For pounding the resort it was a pretty ideal setup though. I did read somewhere that the one screw was prone to issues of people over torquing it and stripping it out. I never experienced it but was careful.

Just received a pair of 187cm Argos with the IQ Max, and they are indeed heavy as hell. 2,700g per ski with the plate, should be a crud cruise missile. Guessing Blizzard added a few mm of width to the waist and tail, a bit more rocker, and renamed it the 2012 Cochise.
