    Sick JH video (snowboarding)

My buddy worked on this film: (slow download 33mb)
    http://www.methodmag.com/fileadmin/m...it_project.wmv

The opening scene is a top to bottom run at Jackson. It made me miss the Hole so much, I'm now shaking and distraught. I could now cry for the lost love for such a beautiful mountain.

    Thumbs up

That viddy is really cool and artsy. I saw it on that snowfilmer site somebody recently posted.

I can’t figure out how they got the high up shots over the houses in the beginning. The film and edit are sooo tight. Next level for shiggity!

Nice drop with a clean landing in there too.

I’m going to use that song someday.

I don't know how they did it, but you can do similar things with helium balloons.

Very cool perspective on the intro. Sadly that's all that will stream. DL'ing now to HD.

Very cool. I wish more ski videos would show that kind of creativity and soul. Good music too. I like the artsyness. Ostness needs to get a big budget and make a kick ass movie.

That is the intro for a movie being funded by Oakley. I caught wind of the amount of money they spent on it, and trust me - it is big budget. They spent our entire music budget on just the teaser.

That blows away EVERY ski video I have seen in many years...The shear production/editing value in that just made my stokage level hit the ceiling of my office...

    ...Sorry TGR, MSP....you've been PWND!!!!!

At least the guy had the decency to head to the VC for a beer.
    Nice cameo appearance by Dominick.

By "community project" is this supposed to be a film made up of various different filmographers from across the globe? Is that first segment a Darryl Miller?

Bacon, thanks for the heads up on this. Tiiiiiight lil trailer there. Stokage up, rainy N.England afternoon down.

What is the first song? I know the 2nd (after the news) is Postal Service- Natural Anthem or something of the sort, and then a Muse song for the radness

I'll argue that first full run was at least two runs, based on what looks like a drop into woods riders left of Hobacks, and then a shot of what i think is right under Sublette lift. However, it doesn't make a difference to the radness level.

I lived in JH for eight years and I yearn for it still. My whole goal in life is to move back there some how. It's just tough to make a yearly salery there, enough for my three kids.

You’re showing your age! (or lack thereof)

The first song is from a little band called Led Zeppelin… “No Quarter” is the track.

I read about this vid in one of the random JH promo mags while I was there. Both Iguchi and Rice mentioned some guy named bacon as an inspiration for boarding around there...

Sickbird. I need a copy of that DVD when it comes out. Any idea on the release date?

Those powder drops were smooth, and hot damn, did you see that guy 50/50 one handrail before jumping over to the parallel rail on the other side of the staircase? Alien stuff.

Snorkel lift or crane? Oakley could afford either one.

i think the raddest thing in that video is the guy in the later segment in black and white that does a corked five tailgrab and in the midst of it thows a chakka right at the camera...
