You're acting like that's a bad thing.

The USA I grew up in got into 2 wars they had no business in (Vietnam and Iraq,) had assholes like Reagan and Bush as a president whose policies hurt the average citizen in favor of the wealthy ruling class, and actually had the highest court in the land declare that money has the same freedom of speech as an individual. I'm OK with the future looking different than the past - it always has, which is the single greatest thing about this country.
