Dynafit Brakes - Sizing and Bending

Has anyone had success with bending dynamite brakes to fit a wider ski?

In particular, with the Beast 14. I know that the brakes are a little more intensive to take a part and such, but I don't really know any details.

I bought the 120 brake size on eBay for a steal, but my skis are 126 I think. (Whitedot Redeemer) I don't believe the brake will fit the ski without being bent, but I don't know their range.

Thanks. I couldn't find any good info on this in the forum. I bet there's a YouTube video..

For your requirement you don't need to a full on re-bend job (ie straightening & then bending new elbows) as a 120mm Beast 16/14 brake only needs a bit of outward splaying of the levers to fit the Redeemer - I've done it loads of times when mounting that binding on Redeemers. You can do it (carefully) by hand but there's sufficient width on the brake to grip the stem of the lever in a vice & adjust the leg with a pipe.

Thanks! Feeling good about this purchase.

Do you know of a good video or how-to? I believe I can just do it, but I'd hate to mess something up because I didn't think it through enough

    Thanks again,

It ain't hard to figure out how to do a vice'n'pipe bend. A cut down old ski pole makes a good pipe.
