I waxed for -8c to -14c. It was -4c last night but the skis were fastest ever.

It always works better when I wax one bar colour colder than the coldest snow temp I think I will encounter.

Why is that?

Seems to slide better and last longer.

Albeit tougher to scrape and brush — my dentist says that scraping and brushing are inconvenient necessities.

It is wax magic.

I never have any idea since wax temps are snow temps and I have no idea what snow temp the conditions will be. All I know is universal seems to means "universally sucks in all conditions" so I usually use colder wax because I'm lazy and it stays on longer.

I think any kind works for that, you've just got to inhale enough of it.

From that logic and based on what I've seen, a whole lot of people must spend a whole lot of time waxing.
