He's going to Sky (Fox) no question. Contract was up anyway so he probably would have gone regardless... in fact this might be somewhat deliberate on his part.
Wow, lots of inside baseball in this post. You must have been there for the punch, huh?

Or do all you British people just know each other?

They spend a lot of time together in the waiting room for that one dentist they have over there. Lots of time to chit chat.

Clarkson doesn't own "Top Gear" - he's an employee on a show. Belushi couldn't have taken SNL to CBS either.

If That's the case then maybe some people just needed a beatin'.

    I laughed.

Anders Behring Breivik was a Clarkson fan....

Maybe they can just got reverse Leno and let Clarkson host a talk show. NBC would buy it.

The Jeremy Clarkson crisis: how David Cameron was overtaken by events

Why did it take more than a day from the news of Jeremy Clarkson’s suspension for the prime minister to break his silence on it? Peter Morgan, screenwriter of The Queen, is already said to be working on a dramatisation of those 26 hours.

Some BBC petition already has over 700,000 signatures to reinstate him.

I saw TV4 tried to lure him out of his house with a steak today.

I personally think its FKNA awesome that Hammond and May told the BBC to pound sand rather than air the last couple episodes without Jezza.

The question is who is going to pick up the three?

I heard a rumor that the BBC was able to procure most of the cars from rich guys with tax writeoffs. That is coming from some hack at an autocross I was talking to, but if their tax structure is anything like ours, makes sense. Should be interesting if that affects the overall production quality of the new show, in whatever form it entails. I don't think it will ruin much other than the anticipated showdown between the 918, The Ferrari Ferrari, and whatever fax machine Mclaren shows up with that day.

That producer better be thinking about grad school, I'd imagine his career is over.

With this break, maybe Clarkson will have a chance to hit the gym a few times. Maybe do a couple situps.

I am pissed that they won't get to air that. I was looking forward to it in a way that only these 3 could do.

Well this fucking sucks. Pretty much the only show on TV I thoroughly looked forward to.

Any replacement host (or hosts if May and Hammond leave too) will suck about as bad as TGAmerica - there's just no way that you can replace the chemistry between these three hosts.

    Blows.

Can all 3 come and replace the bozos on TGAmerica?

Anyone with a billion viewers (isn't it that many?) is BANK.
But a truly fitting (and most likely forgivable) departure would have included clipping the producer during a track lap.

No matter who they get, it will probably be similar to that. Shitty.

And likely more 'green' to espouse that BBC multiculturalism shit that Clarkson was so good at lambasting.

Hijacking one of many "this sucks" threads rather than starting a new one to bitch about a shitty day. Today the smallest NC ski area we frequent was having $5 lift tickets for the day session. It was raining all night but forecast to clear up around 11am there. It's a three hour drive from my door so we packed sandwiches and left at 8:30am. A nice cheap ski day was just what the doc ordered because I don't have a job right now. Well, fast forward to about 11am as we are about 15 miles from our destination. The clouds clear and the sun comes out... then... bump.. bump a bump bump.. as we reached the peak of the foothills coming in to town, maybe about 2500 elevation. Dash lights up too. Thinking I don't want to be broken down stuck in a ski resort lot 180 miles from home at 6pm on a Sunday we turn around. After about 10 minutes the car is running fine again and the engine light is no longer on.. Humm, maybe sputtering on some bad gas?? I turn around again heading back up the mountain. The, at almost the exact same spot it's sputtering again and dash lights up.. DAMN!!! It's gotta be a sign that we don't ski today. I turn around and we head towards home. And, just like last time the car was running fine again when we got down closer to sea level, engine light went out. OK, maybe it;s a clogged air filter that chokes at higher altitude in the thinner air? Anyway, we made it most of the way home but the sputtering and engine light returned. The 09 Forester is now at the Subaru dealer night drop awaiting the bad news call sometime tomorrow. Did I mention I'm unemployed right now. Guess I'll not be skiing anytime soon..

Thanks man. There's still hope for that Feb 1-3 gathering at Laurel Mountain. Maybe we'll see you there...
