Slightly Stoopid ... Closer to the Sun

    Kills It!!!

ya, blah, blah, blah biaaaatches - I know it belongs in Music, books, etc.

    Whatever!!

It has earned the honor of being in here after being out for less than 24 hrs.

Todd, Steve, Dirk, Corey take note; you will find at least 4 or 5 songs worthy of being on next year's soundtrack.

At first listen, really like Bandelero, Older, Don't Care, Up on a Plane, Waiting and Open Road.

All's you other foos - pick it up - def worth the $15

    dude,

I was jammin' to SS long before that scragly ass rat on your face was even peach fuzz; so go back to rubbing the Rogaine on it and shut your hole.

Yeah, I heard you also caught a live Bethoven show, but that's nothing to brag about old man.

I fucking love Slightly Stoopid, glad to hear it kicks ass! I will actually buy this one instead of burning it like everything else. Everyone of their albums has kicked much ass. But they fucking cancel every show I buy tickets for the night before the concert!

I partied in the van of a reggae band between sets that stopped in to play a bar in town once. I can't remember their name.... but they were pretty good... I think......

For all you stoopid fans...there is a very cool new music festival idea that they will be participating in this fall.

    http://www.xingolati.com/

Imagine a boat with only 2,000 people. Tons of cool bands. 3 days of partying. Your favorite band is hanging out and drinking when they're not on stage. Pretty damn cool. The largest venue on the boat only fits 1,200. I imagine it'll be a pretty damn cool trip.

Oh, and those stoopid kids get a much lower billing than the flips. :tongueout:

It does, but if you think of it more like a vacation than a concert then it's really pretty reasonable when compared with other vacations. Seems like a cool idea. Wonder if the idea will take off. The missus and I have often talked about planning vacations around when a certain band might be in the location we're heading to.

I dig "comb for my dome," as well as Older, Up on a Plane, and Open Road. This CD kicks ass. Look for a review on powdermag.com as soon as I get off my ass and write one.

BTW, I've been listening to SS longer than Xover. So there.

One more vote: this disk rawks. And it's a good deal: $15 for like 25 songs on 2 disks? Awesome.

Now I'm headed out the door for a 6 hour drive to Moab and I expect to be jamming to SS much of the way...

BTW - Has anyone else found the hidden bonus track???

Love it too...already in danger of over-exposure since it has been in my car for a week straight...
