^That was fucking rediculous. That did not need to happen like that at all. Not confident but I hope there is some justice.

Lol. $20 he was on meth.
14 shots at less than 10 yards.
Were those officers drinking on the job?

When you rank 48th in the nation regarding access to, and quality of, mental health care that's how mental health issues are handled with the least pain for taxpayers.

Least amount of pain for tax payers?....looks like NYC pays between 1/2 billion to 1 Billion per year to settle police related disputes. Well, since it comes out of the NYPD budget, NYPD pension funds etc., , oh wait a minute...

    WTF Michigan. . http://www.thedailybeast.com/article...nary-army.html

Jason Fox, is one of a pair of NFL players who defend Oakley from across the country. The Texas native is currently a tackle for the Miami Dolphins.

Asked about Fox being an Oakley reservist while he’s based in Miami, Reznick answered that pro football players can protect and serve even from afar. “Most NFL team players don’t live in the state of the team that they play in most of the time.”.

The disappeared: Chicago police detain Americans at abuse-laden 'black site'

...and you thought this was just in the movies!
It makes perfect sense...until you think about it.

I suspect there's logic behind the madness, but I'm too dumb to see it.

I'm more surprised that this was actually reported by MSN than that such a facility exists and that our so called public servants act this way.

Actually they're reporting that the Guardian investigated... and then reported it.

    Which isn't surprising.

The Guardian article about the Chicago police official who participated in interrogations at Guantanamo is shocking as well. He is a real piece of work, essentially forcing confessions by threatening peoples families, etc. techniques he may have honed at Guantanamo.

They aren't making people disappear for more than 24 hours typically, but are denying requests for lawyers, phone calls and not booking people as required. Still, wtf?

The NYPD doesn't know how to hide its IP addresses? Good luck expecting them to be able to investigate cybercrime.

They probably need a lot more money to hide their ip, lots. Ya know, national security kind of money.

    http://www.cnn.com/2015/03/18/us/dal...deo/index.html

To take just one example, in May 2013 a Bakersfield, CA woman saw six sheriff's deputies, a sergeant, and two California Highway Patrol officers beating a man, David Sal Silva, and recorded it on her phone, as did her daughter's boyfriend, according to news reports. The man, surrounded by officers, reportedly screamed and cried for help as he was beaten, and was later pronounced dead. Detectives then showed up at her daughter's house at 3:00 AM, and prevented the daughter and her boyfriend from leaving the house for 3 hours until he handed over his phone. Detectives also later confiscated the woman's phone. In neither case did they have a warrant. Nor did they allow them to simply email the relevant file to the police, the policy that would satisfy any evidentiary claims the police have to the video. Later, there were indications that the police may have destroyed video of the incident. In April 2014 the DA declined to file charges, saying that Silva's death was an accident. (Silva's family and the witnesses have filed suits.)

The "bad apple" frame would suggest that the officer or officers leading the response in this incident were individual rogues, and that their fellow officers understood that their response was a problem. Yet there were nine law enforcement officers present. And then separately a number of detectives showed up later to seize the witnesses' cameras, which suggests a high degree of internal coordination within the police department. And the department hasn't released the video (which its creators would do, had the police not seized their phones).
