    Those would sell like hotcakes....again.
Tok me 2-3 months to sell a slightly used pair for $125 here in Utah, where there are plenty of rippers.

I don't think they would sell at all.

Might just be my "shiny new things" syndrome, but those Spurs look super cool.

I'm sure this has been covered already, but what is the difference between the Rustler line and the similarly waisted "regular" ski (i.e. Bonafide v Rustler10 and Cochise v Rustler11)?

The 10 is probably going to be new non-pow touring ski. What's the rock/camber profile like?

Have you skied the zg95? It's not for everyone but I find it amazing.

I really like the look of the new rustler series and hope to get quite a bit of time on them. My paint it black heart on the other hand needs an all black Bodacious and spur to go with my black magic Cochise.

Yes and it's not my bag. Too stiff for the weight, even when heavily detuned. Selling mine.

The R10 looks like the balance of weight and stability I'm looking for, assuming it doesn't have a shit ton of camber

    What's Blizzard up to?

Latino is gone... there will be enough in the market for years to come. Hardly anyone bought that ski.

    Cochise comes back unchanged

Here's a pic of all the different constructions.

    Carbon Flipcore WSD

    Found in Women's Traditional
    - Black Pearl 98, 88, 78
    - Men's Brahma CA is similar to this
+ 1lb lighter per ski than regular Brahma
    - Unidirectional Carbon, Poplar Beach

    Carbon Flipcore
    - Bidirectional Carbon, metal laminate
    - Brahma, Bonafide, Cochise
    - same construction as last few years
    - Brahma and Bonafide just get new shapes

2m more sidecut. Old Bonafide 180 was 20, new is 18. Rocker is maybe 3-5cm less down the length of the ski but tip gets more curvature to help it plane better, less tip dive. Also now a layer of rubber between the two top sheets of metal under foot. Some say they feel more supple now?? Allows the metal to sheer better. Just a little more modern versions of old skis. Molds were dated.

    Zero G
    - Unidirectional Carbon Frame
    - Paulownia Core
    - ZG 95, 85
    - 108 is slightly different but not much

    Carbon Flipcore DRT
    - New Spur, Rustler 10/11, Sheeva 10/11
    - Uni Carbon tip and tail
    - metal laminate under foot and fore body
    - ISO, Paulownia, balsa Poplar, Beach core
    - Carbon Stringers

    DRT

The Uni manages the longitudinal flex but lets the tip and tail twist for easy release in soft snow without the flap. Usually softer tips and tails equals soft in both directions. The metal piece varies by width and by size. In Spur it's shortest, R10 it's the longest.

Both R10 and R11 are around 1850g in size 180. Not a lot of camber, maybe 2mm per ski? Not sure. More rocker than a Cochise but not as much as old Gunsmoke. I'll take a pic later.

    Rustler 10
    164,172,180,188 (cross fingers for 192)
188 is 104mm under foot, all others are 102
    17m radius in 180 I think

    Rustler 11
    164,172,180,188,192
    192 is 116, 188 is 114, 180 and down is 112
192 is stiffest, 188 slightly softer, and down
19m radius in 180 ( gotta double check)

    Spur
    192 (for now....)
26m radius outside edge, 30m radius inside
    50% more sidewall under foot
    2250g
Flat under foot, long low rocker

    Hope that helps

No fiberglass in the flipcore carbons?

Doesn't that work in firm snow too?

Why so light on the Rustlers? Seems more like a touring or 50/50 ski weight. Wont they be easily deflected in bad snow resort conditions?

Is the new (OG) black bodacious going back to the 2013/14 flat camber ski or the 2014/15 slightly cambered version?

    thanks!

Glass in everyone of the skis.

Yup it works on any snow but since the carbon is only found in rockered sections it has more of an affect on the skis performance in soft snow.

That's what the testers always gravitated towards. They'd make the same ski in four or five different constructions and weights and the lighter skis were the ones that won out.

Too it creates more of a differentiation in the lineup. Heavier more traditional skis on one side and lighter, more playful skis on the other end.

This is the very first Bodacious construction. Even has the split color sidewalls we did the first year. Same flex, same materials, same everything as year 1.

My green-yellow Bode is at best flat and not cambered at all. It doesn't certainly ski cambered. But this is the 14/15 version, right? Maybe some production bias.

Interesting. Thanks for the explanation. I understand your point about differentiation in the lineup. To that, would you happen to have the weight of the new Bonafides? 180cm perhaps? Thanks! Hoping they didnt get lightened up...

I haven't weighed one but I believe they're about the same as they have been the last few years. No real dramatic changes in construction in the new Brahma/Bonafide.

Any changes to the Cochise and zero G boot lines next season? I haven't seen much from SIA or OR.
