    Surfcasters

Old video and could be a rerun. But I just watched and found it enjoyable.

Never been to Montauk. For me there is nothing better than surf fishing. Barnegat Inlet in a N'easter, wearing jetty creepers, tossing cedar plugs for bass is heaven. It was the only thing I liked about NJ. I sure miss it. Thanks for posting that up.

Montauk is the real deal for sure. Stripers are fun, but if you want a real fight you better be throwin diamond jigs for the false albies.

And the Van Staal is your best friend.

I've never had much luck in Barnegat Inlet, only fished it from the LBI side though.

Those guys are fucking tapped.. I just surf fishing but they take it to another level.

The new Van Staal's are kinda shitty from what I've heard now that Zebco is making them in china. I still want a gold VS 200 with a bail...

Man that really sucks if what you say is true about VS. Mine is a couple years old and has been a workhorse.

Cape Cod… definitely some good surf fishing to be had up there. Used to vacation to Pocasset and even right in the river was pretty good, not to mention the canal and Monomoy.

The old ones are still the ones to have, a used one is usually a few bucks more than a new one.

Sadly the Canal has sucked this year, not sure why..

Monomoy as well. Once the seals figured out there were countless bass to snack on they arrived in droves. We used a local Capt to shuttle us out the island to fish 10/15 years ago and the fishing would be lights out... Now he takes families and thier kids on cruises to look at the seals. Its no secret the increase in seals is directly related to recent arrivals of the White Sharks in the area.

I fish the Pocasset Area pretty regularly and the fishing can be very good in the pocasset river up to monument beach and out in Buzzards Bay.
